Scrunchies...I know! I have seen so many girls wearing them this year. The boys seem to want to wear them around their wrists too. So weird. All I can think about when I see the scrunchies is the episode of S$X in the City when Carrie reads her boyfriends novel and has the female character running around in a scrunchie in NYC and she freaks out about it.

I loved scrunchies and banana clips in the 80s 🤣🤣. Does anyone else remember the clips? They went up your head so your hair was in a sort of cascading ponytail which made the hair longer than a normal pony.

I googled it last night and asked T about it again this morning. He says that’s what he wants to be for Halloween next year. 🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️

When did scrunchies come back in fashion, and how did I not know about it??? Lol
Scrunchies are the new thing this school year apparently. My kids have worn them because of cheer and gymnastics. I have overheard some moms who have kids in middle school. They say that boys wear them on their wrists to show they have a girlfriend. The girls were apparently giving them to the boys. They would have an armful of them. Then there were problems with them ising them like slingshots and they would go flying around the classrooms. Anyway the schools here actually banned them because of this. Scrunchies banned! Can you believe it? 🙄

How do 4th graders know about this??? That’s what I don’t understand.
One of the many naive positions of a parent. Our children know a whole lot more than we even want to imagine, about everything. At least they think they do, mostly misinformation, but embedded none the less.
The thing is that we did the same thing. Heard stuff, labeled people and pre-adolescent boys acted like females were cootie laden things to be avoided at all costs.

3 games today- 2 wins, 1 loss. Can’t say I’m sad about the end to his school team's season.😂. The two outdoor games were FREEZING!!! My ears hurt it’s so cold.

3 more games tomorrow, 1 indoor in the morning, 2 outdoor in the afternoon.. also the end to his club’s outdoor season. We’re having a party directly after the last game. Looking forward to it.. although we’re all still playing on Futsal and Indoor teams together, including the coach, all winter.lol.. But hey, still have to celebrate the end of a season. :)
