Some real nasty weather here the last two days. Blessed our power remains on. We still have most leaves on trees. Heavy wet snow on branches and 45 mph winds with snow blowing sideways. Crazy. Branches snapping and downing power lines. Those pesky individual blocks everywhere are keeping our power people hopping.
Some people in Southeast Wisconsin were not lucky yesterday. There was 8,800 people customers of a utility company affected. People affected were as south east far as Racine, and Kenosha and as north as Port Washington.

I was thankful not affected. The suburb where I had my dental work was affected, but thankfully not the dental building.

Don’t worry, me either!!!

I asked T this morning.. he wants an iPhone Pro (not happening), a PlayStation (not happening), a new bike (he does need this), a ninja warrior course, weights, and anything else to make him “have a 6 pack, better agility, and big muscles” :hilarious:

eta- one of those items is a parachute that they use in soccer training.. I am thinking about getting one for each of us and we can race in the backyard.. it would be good for me too. I’d love to make a legit home gym., all I have is some equipment in the basement, but not a specified room or well planned out arrangement, T is not allowed to use the weight bench. Maybe Santa will build is a workout room with all new equipment for box jumps, agility ladder, rope etc.. maybe..
I have an answer, but it is going to be December 10th. What I am referring is The Wisconsin Lottery has a raffle called Jolly Holiday that has 100,000 tickets. Each ticket is going to $5.00 each. The drawing is going to take place on December 10. The grand prize is $100,000. The 50 tickets will be be $1,000.00 winners and 100 tickets will be $500.00 Winners.

Umm ... did you say you've done Christmas shopping already?! :jawdrop:

(Ruh roh ... I haven't even thought about it yet.)
The only thing done is buying Christmas cards and that is because my mom's birthday is this month.

My Christmas shopping for gifts starts with my younger brother with it being likely sometime next week. I still need a Christmas list from mom. My dad does not make out Christmas lists at all, but yet expects to receive more than one Christmas present. What my dad does is he tells us a gift he wants My mom, My younger brother, and I sharing the cost of the gift.

At this point, I do have an answer for my dad, but it depends on when dad mentions the item he wants us to give him. I have a budget for what I spend. All I am willing to say is I know places he goes to and buys stuff at.

T’s school does treat bags for an inner city school and also to send to the troops. Each kid has to bring in 10 pieces of candy.. a lot of kids end up bringing more. We also have a lot of left over candy from what I didn’t hand out. I’ll probably send a lot of that to school to, bonus- prevents me from eating it. Lol
T went with a few friends and one of their parents tonight. I maybe got 15 kids total, me and Reilly were giving out candy, but I didn’t put him in costume this year.

Here’s T’s stash tonight, it’s bigger than what it looks in and he wasn’t even out that long. Wind chill was low 30s and rainy :(

I love that someone gave granola bars, gluten free, and organic options too.

How long of a flight was it?

I don’t remember the exact amount of time, but, somewhere around 2.5+ hrs.-ish. It was similar on the way home.
We flew a more northerly route, mostly over land on the way there. Ran into some fun turbulence from a storm over Houston for a few minutes, but, I’ve flown through worse. Emy was asleep and never even budged...!!!!! :hilarious:
On the way back we flew mostly through the Gulf, and even veered further south to try to avoid a storm southeast of Louisiana, but, still caught some pretty good turbulence. Again, no big deal, and Emy slept through the whole flight...that lil’ kiddo has done a bit of travelin’ in her young life...!!!!! :hilarious::happy:

They all did a fine job of posing for you. And Emy's travel "ensemble" hoody outfit is so cute!

Glad the family is home now safe and sound -- that was quite a whirlwind trip you all had.

Thanks, Minnie...I figured you’d appreciate that Minnie Halloween outfit...!!! :)
Truthfully, even though we were all pretty tuckered by that time, nobody really felt like frowning because it was such an AWESOME day...!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull::)

Ummm... I’ll just repost my FB post.
How do these kids know about a vsco girl??? I don’t even know what it means. According to T it’s “ a girl with a hydro flask, pretty, talks in exclamation points, and ya know.” No, I don’t know. 🤦‍♀️

This made me laugh because you wouldn’t believe this. My oldest and I had a discussion in the kitchen maybe 2 days ago. She mentioned what I thought was “Disco girl” and she said no it was VSCO girl. Ummm...what? Then she explained that they use hydroflasks and other stuff I apparently no nothing about. She only mentioned it because she said some people were calling someone she knows that and she thought it was ridiculous. Kids nowadays. I don’t get it. She also had been gung ho about getting a metal straw and I was totally against. We don’t need them. Then she read articles about how people were chipping their teeth on them. Duh. Could have told you that would happen. Also she said someone died because she had one in her mouth while running, tripped, and ..... Whether or not that was true I don’t know. I just think they are another fad.

Same here. Been awake (partly because the dog was freaked by the 40-50 mph wind gusts outside). He scratched at the bedroom door and woke me up. I got up, and he went back to sleep immediately.

Meanwhile, I've been awake since 1:30 AM . . .
I have been up since 2:30 this morning. Hate nights like these. Thankfully they don’t happen often.

I overslept until 8:30. 😊 I had quite a night. Wind all night. Power to our well went out around 9:00 so had to call a neighbor to help figure out what happened. DH was out working with no cell service. Finally he came home around 10 and one look could tell power was out. Something about a wire down at transformer. So no water all night and this morning. Hopefully today. Ahh the joys of bad winds.
Hope it is all fixed by now.
