Sympathy like. Don’t blow away!We have had rain all day here. The winds have begun. Tomorrow we have 20-30 mph with gusts to 40. Need to pull out a kite![]()
Glad you had a good day and that there will be options for ds. It should be a relief for you.How is everyone faring with the weather? Everyone still safe and warm?
We went to an open house today for a regular high school. We went and talked to their resource room and asked about what they could offer someone on the spectrum and I was actually quite impressed by their answer. I still don't see DS returning to regular education quite yet, but it's nice to know the options are there if for some reason the committee does not approve his application for special education in high school. He has to go through the whole application process again, and then I believe approval is only valid for 2 years and they have to re-*****. But she gave us some good advice, that at the point he would come back to regular education, we should sign him up for homework assisstance from Autimaat (That's the organization that's giving us in home training) because there's a waiting list and the special education school doesn't give much homework, so transferring to a standard school and suddenly having a regular homework loads is jarring for kids on the spectrum, so he needs to be on the list before he actually would start at the school. And she said they have on site psychologists and rooms for kids who get over-stimulated where they can go and just calm down. I was surprised. We didn't stay very long, but DS enjoyed doing the things he did, and we got answers to our questions. It was a good day.
We had snow that mixed with sleet now back to snow. We have an inch or 2 on the ground but it just started coming down harder. Wish me luck tonightThey dropped our snow amounts from 6-10, then 4-6, and now 2-4. Can they just not get it right????? We are going to be getting rain overnight now, so a lot of the snow should melt. How are things by you @figmentfan423
Hey, I baked today!I had a box of brownie mix, and I had to put in 2 eggs and melted butter. They came out pretty good.

I wonder when they will get released. I can totally see a run on them, unless of course they are priced like they are at the parks. No one will pay $30 for 6 bars. Hmm..wonder if the sizing is smaller.
I stand corrected by the guys we have 4 or 5 inches of nasty white carp![]()

Hey, thanks for asking!@BuddyThomas how are things out on the island? I hope you're getting all rain
Have fun and be safe out there!Hey, thanks for asking! So far nothing is happening except a very light sprinkling of flurries that are melting before they touch the ground. So we’re on our way to our favorite pizza restaurant in Port Washington, which is about 30 minutes from us. I hope we don’t get caught in it on the way back, lol.
THNX and depending how bad it gets this time I may come out aheadExcellent plan for you! And based upon your cooking skills its a great deal for them!![]()
