Sympathy likeWe got enough snow where I had to shovel because of the rain and the ice that will come. It still covers the grass although barely. The 'storm' still knocked out my internet.
I'm going nowhere today and the heat is cranked upEven got pretty cold down here...28 overnight, but, no precip. and sunny as can be this mornin’...!!!
I ran (in my car) to my folks house about an hour ago to check on some things (they are out of town in Louisiana visiting my lil’ sis with the broken leg), and yes, I went wearing only a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops...so, I guess that made it a TSSFFHR...!!!!!!!
Hope all of y’all up there with the snow and/or ice are stayin’ safe and warm...!!!![]()
Since we are sharing weather stories, it was -7 (feels like -20) this morning. Currently -5 (feels like -17). But it is sunny outside and I have no plans to go outside so I'm warm and cozy. Sorry it is better than snow.I do feel bad for my dog, she has to go outside in this, but she is pretty quick doing her business.
I don't like that at all. Stay as warm as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!We were supposed to get snow yesterday, starting after midnight. We ended up instead with rain and it turned to sleet around noon. Snow came in around 2P and the wind picked up around 4. We didn’t get as mush snow as they predicted; we can see the driveway in some places and have 1 foot drifts in others. It was 6 this morning and up at 10 now...![]()

Just a word of advice for future reference from a person that lived through 63 Vermont winters. If you have a coating of snow and are expecting rain or freezing rain, leave the snow there. Let the rain fall on top. The worst case scenario is that it will form a crust on top, but, it will be a lot easier to walk on then just ice.We got enough snow where I had to shovel because of the rain and the ice that will come. That's true except when the snow turn into a foot of slush and the temperature is going down near zeroJust a word of advice for future reference from a person that lived through 63 Vermont winters.
