I got to thinking about how today's germophobe would react to the things that we did all the time. Even the early days of interstates had rest areas with picnic areas right next to the outhouses. You had to find a picnic table that wasn't downwind from the "facilities". I think there would have been an overflow of people arriving at ER's with aneurysms. It really wasn't that long ago either... the early 60's. Makes one kind of wonder how we survived. Purell hadn't been invented yet either and no running water. Hand washing was out of the question.Not to mention, no mint on the pillow . . .![]()
I guess that gives new meaning to the phrase "It's a great source of fiber"...
What all these companies, etc., are doing is making the customer enter their own data, so that the company can get rid of more of their own staff--that used to do this for the customer. (Here's another dinosaur term for you: "Customer Service" -- the real kind.)
