I was over it December 26thI am really hoping the Friday evening and Saturday morning is wrong. I am so over winter.
I seen this image but with a different caption.
"MOM!!!, AUNT DORIS CAME TO VISIT US AND IS WAITING OUTSIDE!"
I use to wear Reebok, I can't anymore, I need more support than they offer now in my AARP days given the walking I do.
Congrats!Apparently the big snowstorm decided to hang out at sea last night. We're now only expected to receive maybe an inch--with some off and on snow (not really sticking) today. Oh well . . .![]()

The weather lairs sre still trying to save face and say that snow is coming
I looked at their menu the other day and it has gotten much smaller with very few options for vegetarians and kids.On some of the items I would have to say for certain. As I read through all the comments they were repeating things like allergy and gluten concerns ranked higher in special foods requested. I know at Roaring Forks they offered Salad as a vegetarian choice and if it was vegan they had vegan french dressing. Keep in mind Roaring has like the smallest menu I've seen of any Disney Resort QS. There new menu and new chef is not being well received. Still their pastries coming from Central Bakery are yummy.
The sight change happen in the last year and my license was issued a year before that. I hasn't changed on my license. That still doesn't require corrective lenses. My my DOT physical has it listed. My eyesight at the time might have still been close enough to not need glasses to drive, but, the DOT standards are different.I don't know how it is by you but up here you can retake the eye test if you've had surgery
It is so interesting how different areas and states place their holidays and breaks. My kids are 5 years apart (grown) and I believe we only had Easter Monday off twice and that was because of where Easter fell those years in combo with Spring Break. Then I read on this thread some districts don't have Spring Breaks. I remember when my oldest started college his state University had a Fall Break, I was like what the heck? I just got you there!!!!
Most of the schools here have gone to a collegiate schedule. It allows for high school students to have finals before winter break but they go back mid August to get in the proper amount of days by the end of the semester. Usually they are out prior to Memorial Day and finished with finals.
So the nor'easter that was projected to dump a whole 5 to 8 inches turned out to be a dud. Not much is coming, yet my town called a parking ban at 6:00pm (well ahead of the storm) which of course impacted local businesses, and school was called off last night even before a snow flake fell. Now with barely a dusting on the ground, and have already burned through too many snow days, my kids are looking at an extended school year.
Sympathy like. Gross no, sad yes.I'm sure this will sound gross to everyone, but we bought the kid window markets for her Easter basket and it made us really sad. It means we'll have to finally wash the nose marks off the window from our dog that died three and a half years ago. If you're waiting for that feeling to go away before getting a new dog, you may never get a new dog again.
It came here. All 14 inches of it.The weather stations are still trying to save face and say that snow is coming
I live in South Central PA here and they now start the school year mid August. It was August 17 this past school year. They are supposed to get out May 30. They never had Spring break even when they started a week later. It was always Good Friday and Easter Monday. My half-brother lives in Australia where their schools operate all through the year as you have described. Their biggest problem is what to do with the kids during the 2 weeks they are off every bunch of months. In this country it would be a mess because many businesses are based off the school schedule as it is. Just my opinion.Yeah, the rule about Labor Day to June 15 as the official school year has meant that nobody in Maryland has Spring Break any more. We get Good Friday and Easter Monday, but those are the only two days off between MLK and Memorial Day - makes for a pretty long haul. I would be a big fan of a collegiate-type schedule and have always been a huge proponent of year round schooling - 11 weeks on, 2 weeks off all year. Far better in terms of brain development and actual learning as well as preparation for the 'real world.'
