Well, the sun is shining here, and DD was pretty excited when I told her we should make it to a whopping 40 here. Kinda pathetic, I know, but still, we'll take it! And it looks like snow on Saturday will be more of a dusting to an inch. Not too bad.

I am really hoping the Friday evening and Saturday morning is wrong. I am so over winter.

technically, its "climate change". Because while the general temps are higher, this causes compensation with more extreme tempts in other areas.

Speaking of global warming.. I read somewhere yesterday that one of the biggests ice caskets in the south pole has broken and is floating, which means it can separate any moment and cause a sea shift of up to 3 meters upwards.

Which is insane.. 3 meters would mean that cities like Alexandria and most of the Nile delta will be invaded with water.

Mexico's Yucatan peninsula would be partially covered as well. and I I suppose Louisiana and Florida too.

Yep. Technically they change the terms at least once a decade. I correlate it to the science of what came first the chicken or the egg expertise.

Remember when Disney used to be special and different? seems its like "We just want the money, as standard like every other hardcore business who exploits their workers".

Yeah. Hard call. For some Disney is a viable career. For front line it was never intended to be a primary family income any more than similar career choices. I wrestle with that but we all have choices and live with them. Lord knows I'd too make a few edits in my choices given hindsight, but I can't always blame the corporations for my own choices I made.

I don't remember what year I did this, but, I took a course with Accent Travel to become a travel agent. This was when computer flight lists were just starting. What they used was (I forget the name) a big 8 1/2 X 11 book about 3 inches thick. The pages listed every scheduled flight for the entire world each day and the print was about this size. I'm not kidding. I was forced to run out and buy my first set of readers. I think I was in my late 40's at the time.

I had a restricted drivers license since I was 21 until I had my first cataract surgery two years ago. My current drivers license does not require glasses, but, last year when I started driving bus at the airport I had to have a DOT physical and I think the other cataract had started to grow and I couldn't pass the eye test without glasses. So my Physical Card shows that I need to be wearing them on the job. Now that the second surgery is done, I once again do not need glasses to see distance, just reading.
I don't know how it is by you but up here you can retake the eye test if you've had surgery
