I know I've been away for a couple thousand pages or so...but I thought I was the music teacher around here! Happy Birthday @SteveBrickNJ - hope your Festival/Assessment goes well - if you are went yesterday/today, a good friend of mine was possibly judging you!

And...hello to all! Been away too long (and likely this is just a drop in visit), but snow days make for some good wdwmagic time!

What's a snow day...?! :cyclops: ;)
Hahaaa...!
Good to see you again, if only for just a short drop-in!
Hope all is well with you and yours...! :)

We actually aren't hands on home owners at all!! The most we can really do is crown molding. But i turned to friends and i apparently have a handful of friends that can help us, so that's good!!

Thank goodness for friends. When things went sideways beyond our talents I had a neighbor that was a good plumber, a friend in town that was a better plumber, a friend across the road that was a Union Electrician and the dude across the road a few doors down a roofer.
We are a town that looks out for each other, my road in particular was very tight, we were all there for each other.

We had our home for 30 years. Very hands on. Mostly my responsibility was the Planning Department, coming up with bright ideas, picking out tile, paint, carpeting molding, doors you name it....execution was not my department for the most part. I loved the year I came up with a white picket fence for a section of the front of the property and a rework of the entry sidewalk area which I wanted two Benches (I have a thing for park benches) But code in our district would only allow 3' up there so dozens and dozens of pickets were bought individually, 2x4 s Pretty (had to be pretty) posts and each piece of wood need to be cut, primed and painted and then assembled cause the factory ones the pickets were spread to far apart for the Planning Departments liking. So I picked out the pickets, woods, paint and then handed the project over the execution department. ;) It turned out beautiful and we both loved how the picket fence made the house pop.

The only request when something major was happening that the Planning Dept. requested was that the Planning Department get the heck out of Dodge and take the kids with. Usually meant a vacation with my Mom. Win Win.

I wonder how long until all the benches and border seatings are removed to force people inside stores and restaurants at all costs. And worse when they are forced to buy to sit down.

They should put a purple bench in front of the purple wall!!!!!

And, in suggesting that, if I was working for Disney tonight, I wouldn't be by tomorrow morning...!!!!! :hilarious:

:mad::mad: The profit margin on those has to be higher than on the meat items. I don't get it.

On some of the items I would have to say for certain. As I read through all the comments they were repeating things like allergy and gluten concerns ranked higher in special foods requested. I know at Roaring Forks they offered Salad as a vegetarian choice and if it was vegan they had vegan french dressing. Keep in mind Roaring has like the smallest menu I've seen of any Disney Resort QS. There new menu and new chef is not being well received. Still their pastries coming from Central Bakery are yummy.

Just heard on the news that the Austin serial bomber was found/first reports of when the police & feds went after him, he shot himself.. That's just a preliminary report. Thank goodness they got him.

Amen. And the crud that was happening in the area of Chicago that I love and gravitate to seems to have been solved due to the stupidity of youth, 2 have been arrested and charged. 15 and 16 year old minors in a stolen car. Dear Lord. Such mayhem caused in a day from heck.
