We've gotten slight touches of the flu even though we had flu shots. One year I put it off and was down a couple of weeks. During shortages we can always get the shot because of my DD respiratory allergies.

I've never had the Chicken Pox. My kids have never had the Pox either. My son at 2, 39 out of 40 kids at his daycare got the Pox, guess who didn't? As soon as that Pox vaccine came out they were the first in the Peds office to get it. Funny thing. Nurse berated me for wanting them vaccinated 'cause nothing was known about the vaccine. When the Doc came in I shared the warnings from the nurse and her disapproval and asked him what his thoughts were the same? I could hear his follow up talk with her outside the exam room. I had the same issue with a Nurse when my son was a day old. I had him sleeping on his back (he fell asleep that way) she yelled at me and told me if he spit up he'd die! Wonder what she tells new Mom's now that the recommendation is to put newborns on their back? It drives me nuts.
My youngest isn’t that old at 7 and the recommendation was more on their sides like the other 3, so we would roll up a receiving blanket and just prop their sides up a little.

Rant -- has anyone else noticed on Google lately that you can't copy and paste any images anymore? I'd always go to see pictures and I could copy and paste (funny dog, for example) into a post. Now you can't do that--it directs you to a page and says something about copyright? What the heck?? :banghead:
Are you using your computer? What I do is click on the image, then I right click it to open in a new page and then I can right click it to copy. Then it should paste. With my iphone I have to save it to my phone first and then just upload it.

It's a sad morning at our house. Our society finch "Mo" died overnight. We lost his mate "Miney" about 6 months ago, and now he is gone. Wondering if the shovel can break the sound under the snow, so Mo can be buried near his mate. My heart is breaking a bit this morning. Mo was a real songbird. How he loved it when we put his cage near the window in the nice weather. He would sing all day long, and hop from branch to branch. Or perch to perch in his cage. We had 6 finches, and now we have three left. Eenie, Meanie, and their baby Dottie.
Sorry. We lost our last cockatiel a few months ago in the summer. Even the tiniest creatures passing leave a hole in your heart.

For the first many months my daughter would not sleep unless she was on her back burrito wrapped like in a papoose. Now I look at her sprawled all over her queen size bed. :joyfull:

Oh well, I do love that you now surely have the Disney bug. Planning two trips at the same time is hard core:joyfull:
And you are still welcome in London anytime, like all my other Disney brothers and sisters.
Oh hey, I forgot you live in London and could probably answer this easily! I want to plan a trip to London with the kiddos and my husband to see the city, and also do the HP Studio tour. I've done both, but when we did the studio tour, my friend picked me up from the airport and drove to a hotel that was closer to the studio tour because that's quite a ways away. But my friend lives in Ireland so she wouldn't be there and my husband will not drive on the wrong side of the road...is there public transportation that goes between the studio tour and London proper? Is the Studio tour accessible by bus or train or would we have to take a taxi?

Some larger cities (such as here in Boston) have a Chinatown section. I've been to Chinese New Year's celebrations a number of times--always festive with the dragons, fireworks, music, etc. They have some nice bakeries, too, that serve different types of treats. I like lotus seed buns, for example. Weekends in Chinatown are also noted for Dim Sum at some of the restaurants. :hungry:

We have no Chinatown here.
But, we do have Rednecktown...!!!!! :hilarious:

You can get to the studio by public transportation, there is a shuttle bus that will take you there from the nearest train station as long as you have valid tickets for that day. The bus costs £2.50 pp return cash. From my apartment it takes about an hour to get to the nearest train station.
When are you thinking of visiting London?

My kids are adults now. I'd likely be charged with Child Endangerment :joyfull:

They were both tummy sleepers or prop'd up on their sides against the crib rails. They slept with a kids blanket and there were always stuff animals in their cribs and bumper pads too. I guess the only thing I did right according to this years sleep standards is my kids never ever slept in bed with us. If necessary I slept in their room, never wanted to start that.

All the kids had bumpers and they all used the same crib that had the drop down side. We never had issues. We got our monies worth out of that crib. :D

This is due to Google settling a lawsuit with Getty Images. I got that information from this:

Sorry @ajrwdwgirl This is as close as I got to a cheese steak. :D The kids had to be there at 7:50 and the awards were done and we were on our way to get the car at the hotel at 1:30. We were right across from the Reading Terminal Market, but with snow coming and a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us I just wanted to get home.
We met the family at a Chili’s 30 miles north of our house. It started snowing as soon as we got there. When we left, the cars and roads were snow covered. The highway became a mess so quickly. We were driving 40mph for most of the drive the rest of the way home. Our local roads were not plowed and even with my 4WD I had a hard time. Glad to be home.

Blah! That is how our roads are now. Only 2 inches last night but heavy, wet snow. Nobody has done anything, it is Sunday, also it is to reach 40 so they likely figure it will melt eventually. :cautious: Starting tomorrow 60 degrees and constant rain for Monday, Tuesday-inches they say. Then COLD again by Wednesday. I'd like to know where the rain thinks it is going to go?

Just 3, Dutch, German and English. I can speak a few words and read a menu in a few others but not hold a conversation.

Impressive. I can muddle through French, only enough to understand the gist if I'm lucky.

My kids are pretty dang good at Spanish. When we were selling some things from the house that I wasn't moving we had many Spanish Bilingual people come to look. Many tried to flip from English to Spanish when they would discuss between themselves. One went as far to tell me in English she was going to her car to get her wallet, her elderly Mother said to her in Spanish, Only bring $100 and tell her that is all you have. My DD pulled me aside a minute later and clued me me. When she came back $100 in hand-no wallet I just looked at her and said we agreed on $150 and I don't agree with your Mom's instructions of only bring $100 'cause I'd take that. It is funny how many Americans speak Spanish these days especially the younger ones. Equally as funny the amount of Spanish speakers as first language don't recognize that fact. My DD deals with that at the Water Park frequently and they are frequently surprised when she flips to Spanish.
