I took my heart monitor back today, and then I went grocery shopping. It was a beautiful day here in Chicago. Good day to be out and about. I got a lot of errands done today. The great thing is no doctor appointments until April, when I am due back to the cardiologist, and both of my eye doctors. I spent the entire month of January waiting for Aetna to put me back into their PPO, from the HMO I was silly enough to enroll in. Let's just say, I didn't read the fine print. I am fine with Aetna. The prescription I picked up today, had no charge. Gotta like that.

Yep, we're in a PPO at the firm.

Yep, no worries here. It's not like I use the lower portion of my right pinkie anyway
My grandfather broke his little finger when he was young and it was never set. He had just folded it at the knuckle down toward the palm of his hand. It remained that way all his life. He was a carpenter/farmer/heavy drinker which got him into a lot of bar fights. He was a very big man. My favorite memory of him was him climbing a ladder with a full sheet of half inch plywood. That finger and his thumb would be on one side of the sheet and the other three on the other side. Up the ladder he would go to the roof like it was a piece of paper. In other words, you should be alright. ;):joyfull:

Hahaaa...!!! Cool...!!!
Yep, no worries, definitely nothing I lose sleep over. I'm a tough ol' dog. Well, at least physically..but I do have a heart and soul, though...!!! 😉

We might go on some of the rides. We are going to do glow in the dark mini golf for sure, there is a big Chinese New Year Celebration starting at noon, and then we will see what else we/she wants to do. We have done some of the rides before and they are fun, there are three roller coasters.

I heard Jet blue is going to start flying in and out of Minneapolis, so that might be a cheaper way for you to get there!

Funny thing is -- I hate malls. BUT, for some unexplained reason, I am enamored with the Mall of America! :hilarious:

He's 12 years older than I am. My dad left Germany when my half brother was seven. It was really cool going through their photos of him!

That was really a very special story you shared the other day about him. I also think you have guts walking up to a house with people inside that you've never met before, (and in a foreign country at that), just on the chance that you might meet him. Very impressive gesture on your part, and so glad it seemed to work out so well all around. :)

My grandfather (on my pops side) had to have one of his index fingers (I forget which one :cyclops:) amputated many years before I was born. A cow kicked him while he was milking it and it eventually became gangrenous.
He had false teeth too. He was a hoot taking out his false teeth and putting that stub finger up to one of his nostrils...!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:

This proves it. Always knew you came from impeccable, high class lineage. :joyfull:

Today my wife is having her Asian American friends over and they will celebrate Chinese New Year.
Youtube and Google gave me the spelling: Gong xi fa cai (To my ear it sounds like Gong Hee Fah Choy)
*
Anyway, Happy (Chinese) New Year!!!

Some larger cities (such as here in Boston) have a Chinatown section. I've been to Chinese New Year's celebrations a number of times--always festive with the dragons, fireworks, music, etc. They have some nice bakeries, too, that serve different types of treats. I like lotus seed buns, for example. Weekends in Chinatown are also noted for Dim Sum at some of the restaurants. :hungry:
