I had a great time with my sister, we try to have a weekend just us two once a year.
We had afternoon tea at the Antheneum hotel, one of the best in London I think.DSC_1284.JPG
Everything was so delicious and home made. Even the jams they serve with the scones.:hungry:

The egg sandwich on brioche bread was amazing.

Feeling very full and happy we slowly walked home, past Fortnum and Maso. We decided to wait a few minutes to watch the beautiful clock above the store. On the hour the clock chimes and opens up, nothing spectacular but fun to watch.

Today is big day for bakeries where I live. The local media for years has covering bakeries on Paczki day. I know about Paczki day to me being Polish. It is a big polish tradition. When I was growing up, my parents made up Paczki's the night before. My parent made them up the night before so we could have them for breakfast. They also were part of my bag lunch for school when I was growing up. My parents made them up in different flavors.

Here is an example of what Paczki looks like:

Love me a maple cream Paczki! The news showed people waiting in line to buy them.

On Monday morning we got up on time to get day tickets to a show I have been wanting to see a long time.

£20 is cheap for such good seats, but we couldn't sit together.

Tickets in hand we went to cross something else of my bucket list.
The Victoria & Albert museum had a special temporary exhibit on Winnie the Pooh. :D

It was interesting to read about the history of Winnie the Pooh and see the earlier sketches etc. but as a whole the exhibit was a bit disappointing, within 20 minutes you could see the whole thing and the main focus were small pencil drawings.
Next door to Winnie was the just opened Ocean Liner exhibit that we liked much better. So much fantastic history and gorgeous art surrounding cruise lines.

We had lunch at the museum and then walked home to rest before making our way back to the theater for a fun night with Aladdin.

The Prince Edward theatre is an old one so not the most comfortable chairs but the ambiance makes up for it.

We were up and out the door early again on Tuesday to watch the very first showing of the Black Panther. I was so happy my sister was still here so we could watch it together, after we went to have a pancake brunch as it was Pancake Day!:)
My sister did a bit of shopping and then it was sadly time for her to leave.
