Wait until it decides to end all humanity and go to conquer the world.
Just like Sophia and other chat designed AIs.
Or some hilariously wrong chats.. (careful, rude conversation)
Yea, NOT 2 hour delay awaiting a further updateI hope your day is starting off better
Hubby's boss used to do the same thing - and the boss and most of the co-workers don't even get along because they're all like a pack of 12-year-old jerks. IT WAS SO BAD. They finally gave up the ghost this year and are throwing a "breakfast" on a work day instead. Hubby is hoping the savings (no hall, catering, etc.) translates into a Christmas bonus, but I seriously doubt it will. What is it that you do? When do you arrive for Christmas? I wonder why she was so offended...did you explain WHY you don't want to stay there? Things are a bit awkward at my work, too...our Christmas party was last Saturday, the 9th, and they gave us the date almost a year ago to be sure people wouldn't have conflicts. I missed it, but I guess on Thursday, they called in all the people who didn't sign up to go to the party and yelled at them, demanding to know why they weren't coming and why they went and planned something else when they KNEW that was the date of the party. It's a completely voluntary thing...it's not like we're PAID to go to the party, it was on a weekend, when most people want to spend time with their families after a whole week of working, spouses weren't invited to the party, and some people really just aren't party people. The idea of giving up time with family to listen to loud, annoying music, etc isn't exactly appealing. So they got mad that people didn't sign up to go and I guess one of the people told the boss it was "schandalig" (scandelous?) that he would treat them like this, that the Christmas party is optional, and he had no right to demand to know what people had planned or why, he wasn't entitled to any explanations. So I wasn't there Thursday when this all went down, but I DID get an email Friday, which was a much friendlier tone from what I heard about Thursday, asking me what the boss could do to make sure I was able to make an appearance at the party. I apologized, and explained there was nothing he could do...it was my birthday and I was spending it with my family rather than a work function. I got no reply, so I'm assuming he gave up, though he did NOT wish me a happy birthday yesterday even though he saw me several times. I guess the sentiment is "We're providing something fun and you WILL have fun, darn it, whether you want to or not!" Mandatory merry-making...just gets me right in the spirit.![]()
Wow, your boss does sound schandalig and onbeleefd! I do understand he might have put a lot of work in the party and be disappointed when people don't show up but like you said, unless people are being paid you can't make them show up.What is it that you do? That's too bad, belated Happy Birthday! I hope it was a good one.You should have stopped in and said hi...I had birthday cake and everything!
Doing both Halloween and Christmas Parties Close together this year I’m a bigger fan of Christmas. It’s more Disney. The strangeness of Adults at Halloween is dramatically less at the Christmas hard ticket. A more fun loving of the season. It was very crowded but not sold out. The first two hours quite crowded but Dramatically dropped off quickly. It was cold as we left at Midnight for the second day in a row. Disney needs to get its busing act together for Deluxe resorts. This Combo isn’t working.
At least today it was warmer and sunny. Better but in Disney not working.
SicklyOnset of a cold (hopefully just a cold). I'm sure this is abnormal, but I always wish I got sick on a Friday so I have the weekend to recover. Getting sick on Mondays is just brutal.
After seeing your photos of the Christmas parade I tend to agree. Although the Halloween parade has those grave diggers plus the Headless Horseman...I like both parties but since I like Christmas better as a holiday I lean towards the Christmas party. Plus it has the toy solidiers that's the best part!
Sympathy like. We have nothing on the ground here and hope it stays that way.Yea, NOT 2 hour delay awaiting a further updateI hope your day is starting off better
Bosche Bol. Just had to look that up, and can you send one here to the States?Wow, your boss does sound schandalig and onbeleefd! I will arrive at Schiphol on 20 December at 5pm, I then need to take the train to Limburg as my whole family is staying at Center Parcs the Heijderbos.I haven't seen my Australian niece and nephews in almost 2 years and my brother not since August 2016. I really miss them, especially my brother. We are only 10 months apart so we have always been very close, he is also the joker in our family so always lots of laughter when he is around.
That's too bad, belated Happy Birthday! I hope it was a good one.
I am a sucker for cake so might drop in some other time.
Or we could meet in Den Bosch and I will buy you a Bosche Bol. Have you ever had one?
Via the post office ...How do you post the stuff from your phone to here?
I can bring you one depending on where you live, and whether you will pick me up from the airport and let me stay at your house for a week.Bosche Bol. Just had to look that up, and can you send one here to the States?Sounds delicious.
