I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but the Goodyear Blimp airdock is about fifteen minutes from me. The Marines have a Toys For Tots drive this weekend and we went last night with a trunkload. You drive through the hangar right next to the blimp (it is literally right next to you!) and the Marines unload whatever is donated from your vehicle. When we arrived the line was already fifty cars deep and a steady line turning in after us. A new blimp is being built so it didn't look like what you'd see on tv yet. It was still cool!

Waiting in line.

Next year we plan on going again to see the finished product. :)

It's such a common sight here it's like "oh, there's the Blimp" but I'd never been that close! To get into tbe airdock the line of cars had a zig zag lane across the landing strip.

It'll look like this when done. It's advertising over sporting events, etc., but now they have cameras to shoot video for television. If you have enough :greedy::greedy::greedy: you can book it for a private ride.
Thanks for explaining that to me. I think I might have seen a blimp in movie etc. and even if I could afford it I don't want to ride a blimp.
I went hanggliding once and it was the scariest 12 minutes of my life, I don't think a blimp will be much better.

I haven't been to Hilton Head, it does look nice. But if I lived in SoCal I would be very close to Disneyland :inlove:. I would also be close to the ocean, have warm weather, have a short flight to Hawaii, and have lots of In-n-Out Burger locations to go to.

Mmmm, double double with animal style fries. :hungry:

There is a snow storm in the Netherlands at the moment and they are predicting more snow for tomorrow, roads are icy and the airport is now closed for all flights. My brother and his family are on their way from Australia. I am now worried that A. They will get stuck in Beiing, were they have a layover, for a day or so until the airport opens again or B. They arrive in the Netherlands but no one can pick them up because of road conditions.
To top it off my sister's automated garage is broken down again and her car is stuck inside. The maintenance company is not sure if they can get someone there tomorrow to fix it. So even if the roads are clear my sister has no car.:banghead:

If you have time and the line is short or you can get a fast pass on your way out of the park, I do recommend doing Spaceship Earth. It is quintessential old school Epcot. It would give you a glimpse of the old roots of Epcot. I am probably biased because I remember the 1980's Epcot and hold that fondly in my heart, but it is a must do for me every trip.

We love SSE also. Wouldn't be a trip to Epcot without it. Sad that it is having constant issues. Funny though, when we went in July it ran fine.

I haven't been on SSE since my last trip to WDW in 2015 but I am looking forward to riding it again. I love Judy Dench' s narration and the relaxing ride through the giant golf ball. However if I had limited time at the busiest time of year with a 2 year old I would probably skip it like @DisneyBound2017.

Our biggest worry is that it will break down or stay which it seems to have been doing a lot lately. We would only have time for it when we first got to the park so if we got stuck it would mess up the rest of the day with things the kid is really looking forward to. One trip report had a couple stuck on it for forty five minutes!!

Wow! That is totally awesome!! :)
Disney just released the State Fair shirts for sale on the Shop Disney site. They previewed the CA & FL stuff at the D23 Expo this past summer. I like the look of the shirts I think they have fun designs. Of course my state (Wisconsin) features cheese on it which I expected, and I'm a little ho-hum. I mean don't get me wrong I love cheese, but I think my state's design could be better. But since I live so close to the Minnesota border and all my news comes from Minnesota it sometimes seems like I'm more from Minnesota, and I love the design Disney has done for Minnesota. It is Goofy in a Viking helmet, I am part Norwegian and I like the Vikings football team....so I might end up buying that one if I buy any. The price is actually decent for Disney, $19.95.

Check them out.

They are really nice. Very fun designs.
By the way, it is nice and warm in Hilton Head. The ocean is also warmer there than Southern CA. Usually in the mid to upper 80’s in the summer. :inlove:

We have an automatic garage door also, but we have the ability to open it if it breaks. Your sister should try and find a maintenance manual or look online. I hope your brother’s family will be ok.
