Yah, the parade was very enjoyable. (I was a bit put off by the various Disney advertising during the actual parade, but my guess is they paid some big bucks to do that. I know that every city and town can use more revenue, and I suppose it may have made financial sense for parade organizers to agree to the conditions.)

I think Disney has sponsored the parades for many years now. I remember seeing adverts around town when we have gone down there and thinking that it would be fun to see. It's pretty smart on Disney's part that parade draws from a large area.

We're actually skipping it entirely. We haven't been before so we have no sentimental ties to it, and it's been down in almost every trip report we've read in the last few months. Not worth the risk of missing fast passes for rides we're actually wanting to see.

If you have time and the line is short or you can get a fast pass on your way out of the park, I do recommend doing Spaceship Earth. It is quintessential old school Epcot. It would give you a glimpse of the old roots of Epcot. I am probably biased because I remember the 1980's Epcot and hold that fondly in my heart, but it is a must do for me every trip.

Before I saw the light and switched to Android, my primary use for Siri was asking her ridiculous questions like, "Are you single?" And "What's your favorite color?" I still can do that with Google Assistant, but when I ask intelligent questions like, "Who played Scar in The Lion King?" I get an actual answer instead of search results.

I usw Google for basically everything. Email, photo storage, contacts, calendar, GPS, Apps...everything except what it was originally intended for: searching. I prefer Bing, except for image searches.
I am the same. Don't use google search. Just use them for email, contacts, music, GPS too. I use Bing as well for my searches.:)
It snowed a LOT more later.
This is the parking lot where I work, when I came out last night:

We love SSE also. Wouldn't be a trip to Epcot without it. Sad that it is having constant issues. Funny though, when we went in July it ran fine.

I would be in Hilton Head with @StarWarsGirl also. Have you been there? Totally gorgeous and no worries of fires, mudslides, or earthquakes like in California. Plus just 4 hours to Disney. :)

I haven't been to Hilton Head, it does look nice. But if I lived in SoCal I would be very close to Disneyland :inlove:. I would also be close to the ocean, have warm weather, have a short flight to Hawaii, and have lots of In-n-Out Burger locations to go to.

Mmmm, double double with animal style fries. :hungry:

Those burgers look tasty but I don't like stuff on fries.
I do love California but condo prices plus Disney World means I would probably choose Florida.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but the Goodyear Blimp airdock is about fifteen minutes from me. The Marines have a Toys For Tots drive this weekend and we went last night with a trunkload. You drive through the hangar right next to the blimp (it is literally right next to you!) and the Marines unload whatever is donated from your vehicle. When we arrived the line was already fifty cars deep and a steady line turning in after us. A new blimp is being built so it didn't look like what you'd see on tv yet. It was still cool!

Waiting in line.

Disney just released the State Fair shirts for sale on the Shop Disney site. They previewed the CA & FL stuff at the D23 Expo this past summer. I like the look of the shirts I think they have fun designs. Of course my state (Wisconsin) features cheese on it which I expected, and I'm a little ho-hum. I mean don't get me wrong I love cheese, but I think my state's design could be better. But since I live so close to the Minnesota border and all my news comes from Minnesota it sometimes seems like I'm more from Minnesota, and I love the design Disney has done for Minnesota. It is Goofy in a Viking helmet, I am part Norwegian and I like the Vikings football team....so I might end up buying that one if I buy any. The price is actually decent for Disney, $19.95.

Check them out.
