The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I am so tired today. I always leave my phone on at night in case work needs me. I have email and most other things on silent and family and friends know not to WhatsApp between 10pm and 5.30am. This morning just after 3am my phone starts buzzing, I get up to check and it is my sister in law in Australia. She is so excited because she just finished her last day of work. I didn't have the heart to tell her she woke me up so we chatted for a bit about her upcoming flights and the trip etc.
Normally I would have cut it shorts to go back to sleep but today was my day off so I figured I could sleep in and take it easy today. Maybe even have a nap...
So I go back to bed at 5am only for my work to call me at 6am to ask me to come in. :bawling:

DD did the top border...she's still learning and wanted to practice, so I did the bottom one to show her how to do it, and she did the top one and I repaired a couple of places. DS is thrilled with it. I felt bad though...I told him I'd make something for him to take to chess tonight to share and I totally forgot, and this is for tomorrow, so I had to get chips for him to take to chess instead of making something. Mom fail. I totally dropped the ball.
The like is for the cake. Big giant dislike for the weather

I'd love to see them try it, I have a security camera at my door. I'm lucky we don't have those type of problems, nobody can find my neighborhood

The two times this happened to us, the drive never came to our door. It wasn't nefarious, he wasn't stealing our packages, but rather he just didn't want to come to the door in bad weather. He signed for them and then shoved them in our mail box. So our front door camera would have never picked that up.

My dh is edging closer to the cot in the unheated garage. Today I finished wrapping up all the gifts and I couldn't find one game for my older ds and the gift cards his parents asked for. Long story short he was supposed to pick them up weeks ago when he went to get something in that area. He told me don't worry he'd take care of it. Guess what I have to do this weekend:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Men

I'm glad I know the mail person, Fed X driver and UPS driver on a first name basis:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: We were gone an extra day on our trip last summer and I just had to call he post office and ask them to hold the mail an extra day and they did:joyfull:.

Just another public service announcement. If anyone snores really bad or has to sit up to stop, please get checked for Sleep Apnea. You may not have it, but, if you do you want to pay attention. It can cause enlargement of the heart and high blood pressure just to name a couple. It can, over time, kill. Snoring by itself isn't bad unless your oxygen supply is compromised, then you got trouble my friends, right here in River City.

It's kinda' interesting with me...
I know I mentioned in a previous post a little while back that I'm now also sleeping on both sides again. Still sleeping sitting up too, but, not nearly all the time anymore.
When I was in my early 30's to my early 40's there were more times than I care to count when I would awake suddenly gasping for air and feeling like I was choking on acid reflux or something...scary as hell, I tell you. Took me at least a half hour to "recover" from it and, warily, try to go back to sleep. Just nutso.
Crazy thing is, it hasn't happened at all since my early 40's...and I really have no clue why... :cyclops:
The same with my SVT heart condition that I've also posted before...9 years and counting with no event... :cautious:
Knocking (BIG TIME) on wood... ;)
