Now, I do thanks for the next time. Hubby and I am going to Disney by ourselves in February. We will wear jeans and sweat shirts. No fancy restaurants this time. Maybe hubby will go get me a cup of coffee and bring it back. He has never done that, as I'm up before him. Maybe in February I can sleep in. Got to tell hubby I don't want the first flight out!

I hate the first flights out, have to be up so early. Yet we book them everytime. Here they are more reliable and as the day goes on more impacts their departures, so we keep torturing ourselves.

OK, the vegan restaurant we went to was awesome...!!!!!
I even got a chance to talk to the owner before we left and let him know how much we loved the food...!
I, honestly, couldn't believe how good the food was...!!!

The place is called The Beer Plant, yet, I forgot to get any pics of my beers...!

Sriracha Brussels sprouts and cauliflower "Buffalo wings"...so darn good...!!!

Didn't know where else to share, but my family and I had dinner at 1900 Park Fare for the first time tonight and we were blown away. Easily the best table service meal we've had since we've been coming regularly! Great character interactions and the buffet was divine! Definietly something to enjoy again in the future

Well I hope you get your payback tomorrow!!!

I went into the City (by train mind you) to a farmers market. Best one I've been to in years. Sadly I couldn't do this one very often just so freak'n far away. I bought so much and the tomatoes were awesome still!!! Downside I'm schlepping two bags of produce all afternoon. I can't wait to try and pop PopCorn on the Cob.

Next stop was lunch @ajrwdwgirl They have now put a Wildberries downtown next to Millennium park! So when you and the hubs stay downtown you can have breakfast there.

Then onto the park. I never tire of the bean

Sounds like a fun an yummy day, thnx for the pics. Yup schlepping farm market bags isn't fun and i only schlep them to and from the car. granted my bags may be slightly heavier than what you get. I'm rethinking the slightly LOL. and thnx I plan on looking both cold and sad when we go shopping

It is just all too common. How can there be so many that are that bad at it. They brought a needle queen in to do it finally but the damage was done.

I can't wrap my brain around this. Propane for a fireplace? How does that even work? Is the Propane in the house?

I don't know if hers is exactly like my set up. We have a regular fireplace which we got fed of having to clean out and have the chimney cleaned so we had an insert put in it and had the local propane company put a tank by our house and run a line to it. we don't have gas lines in my neighborhood. It throws off enough heat to heat a couple of rooms to my satisfaction This isn't mine but may give you an idea

I've definitely seen her in Epcot in recent trips. Sometimes in France, sometimes near International Gateway. I think she's just one that's hard to find.

I got myself a Marie tote bag last trip. I love it; it's huge and zips up. I think it says "Dreaming of Paris" on it and Epcot World Showcase.

Being a cat person and rather sassy, I have a soft spot for Marie. If my kitten were white, I probably would have named her Marie. But she's not, so she's Jasmine.

Funnily enough Marie used to be common at Epcot years ago. Hope her brothers might show up in the future.

One of my first jobs was a secretary at a large accounting firm. The managing partner always told the CPAs to take the first flight out in the morning. Airport delays tend to occur as the day goes on, but if you're on the first flights (weather permitting), you're usually always on schedule.

No the propane is outside in a tank like a gas grill. (same thing actually) It is piped inside usually with copper tubing directly to the fireplace. Usually new installations have a switch, like a light switch on the wall. You flip the switch and the fire starts automatically due to a pilot light or electronic starter. It works almost exactly the same as a gas stove in the kitchen.

I really thought that I was going to be able to administer my eye drops to myself before my cataract surgery on Tuesday. However, after missing my eye totally the few times I tried, my husband did the task with no difficulty at all. I am usually super independent for things like this. However, this time, I am sure glad he is home all day, and can put in my drops. They must go in four times a day before surgery and countless times as long as 4 weeks after surgery.

We usually take the first flight out too, I don't like the early morning but we are are early birds anyway so I guess it isn't too much of a hardship. Plus I like getting to my destination as soon as possible. I always try to take the last flight of the day back from our destination though to try to maximize our time.

Enjoy! It is the last farm market of the year for us. We were going to go but hubs has a bad cold and it is raining, so we aren't really feeling it.

I don't grasp this either. I have never owned a cat so there is that. I watched my MIL cat frequently when they were out of town as my Pup and her Cat had this odd love hate relationship. Her cat was declawed later in life or it wasn't going to have a life as she shredded furniture drapes and rugs. Sh did have a weird week but after that she was her normal self. I get the idea there is some bad things about all that...just not sure 'cause Scooter Kitty adapted very well. Someone educate me.

Declawing a cat is like if you wanted to take the nails off of a human and decided that you were going to take the first bone of the finger. It's literally an amputation. Because of this, cats who are declawed frequently end up in a lot of pain. This can cause them to stop using their litter box because they are in too much pain.

You also take away a cat's first line of defense when you declaw them. You'll either get a cat who is more prone to hiding because they can't defend themselves or a cat who instead bites. Not to mention if a cat were to get outside, they would be unable to defend themselves.

There's so many ways now to prevent a cat from scratching that didn't exist 20 years ago. There are nail caps you can put on a cat that can help and don't hurt them. There's double sided sticky tape you can put on furniture that they go after. They'll put their paws on it, feel the tape, and go "Yuck!" and leave it alone, and then once there's that association, they leave off of it (and you can take the tape off). Basically, you should handle behavioral problems in cats the way you handle them with dogs: you address them with training.

We use a combination of scratchers and tape with the girls. When we notice a spot they're going after, we put the tape on and give them a scratcher near by. Eventually, they naturally go for the scratcher and leave off the furniture, so we remove the tape. Neither Belle nor Jasmine scratches the furniture, which in Jasmine's case is saying something.

Our previous two cats were declawed. My mom had Mischief done before she knew better, and she always regretted it because he was never the same after that. Moxie had previous owners that declawed him, and he was a biter. Whereas Belle, who has all of her claws, is also completely nonaggressive. The vet actually asked if she was declawed because she examined her paws, and Belle, being the good cat she is, had them completely retracted. I told her no, that I don't believe in it, and she said she won't perform the procedure. Considering that a declaw runs at least $250, that's a vet that cares more about the cats than making money. Which is why I'm going back to that vet.

Declawing is actually illegal in most parts of the world. The Canadian Veterinarians Association considers it inhumane. But because it makes money here, our vets continue to do it. It is illegal to declaw a cat in certain parts of Southern California, and there was legislation to ban it in NY and NJ. Pawproject.org has even more info on their website.
