Hubby and I had to do a pharmacy run after work today we took the dog with us and went to Culver's (a fast food chain that started in Wisconsin) for dinner. We went there because they have picnic tables outside so the dog could be with us and because they have great burgers and frozen custard!

Yum. My DS attended a Lutheran College in Wisconsin for a few years before he transfered and he discovered Culvers. Love that place. So many dinners to choose from it is always hard to pick. Since then several have opened up in N. IL :hungry:

I like the burgers (I always get a double) and I also like the chicken tenders and pot roast sandwich. Tonight's flavor of the day was Hershey Almond Fudge, it was really good. I think I heard that there is even a Culver's in the Orlando area now, it has branched out nicely.

So my grandparents siblings filled up another (2 years later after the first one) 2 ton dumpster of their crap, can you say that? Anyway, the only room left in the house to throw things out is the garage.

My grandmother had six clown statue thingys that played music, one of each of her grandkids :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: DON'T WANT. No clowns for me.

Oy. Clowns. Creep me out. Back when she got them there were likely happy thoughts associated with Clowns. I was 100% out after the mass murderer Gacy. My MIL has 2 3 foot porcelain dolls that have body stands. I'd say maybe from the 1920s or 1930s. Have no idea where she got them from but she loves these dolls so much. She has 3 granddaughters and one of these 2 dolls is willed to my daughter. Ugh. You'd walk into the GUEST room of her home and they'd be standing up facing the door to greet you. Turn on the light and want to scream creepity. My DD would much rather be willed Grandmas sewing machine that is top of the line loaded and beyond reliable. But no Creepity Doll. This is the closest I could find to similar. Dolls of that era had eyes that moved and mouths with teeth that made it look like they were going to bite ya.

At least it was just a warning. I have been pulled over once and I was very nervous and my heart was racing, in general I am a rule follower and getting in trouble makes me anxious.
That's the way I was. I was like, "Um...I didn't do anything wrong!" At first I didn't even realize it was meant for me because I was so not doing anything wrong.

Good morning. I woke up early because I was shivering. My dh turned off the heat for no reason! It only comes on if the temperature drops below 68 at night. i may forget to pack his food tonight:oops::angelic:

H E L L O ---- Does this man not know you after all these years??? Stay out of the kitchen and don't make you be cold. Simple. :devilish:

That, and just not psyching yourself out over it. I find it's better to just randomly walk in for your flu shot rather than be like, "Oh no, oh no, oh no!" It really doesn't feel like anything more than a pinch initially (afterwards you may be a bit sore). And whatever you do, do not watch it go in.

The last IV I had I did get a bit queasy. It was before my hand surgery, and I was nervous about the procedure, whether I knew it or not. Anyway, my mom was with me, and she started talking about Star Trek. Before I knew it, that sucker was in. My mother knows me a bit too well...

I'm OK with injections it is IVs. It isn't that I'm afraid it is these twits that keep missing the vein and blowing up my hands and arms.
When I had my DD the twit wasn't responding to the call button and the fluid was going into the tissue of my arm not vein. My arm was throbbing for days. If I were the empress I would have significantly more training in blood draws and IVs for these folks in the medical field.

Much better today. I was up early, finishing my packing. Hubby slept in until 8:30 A.M. I was up at 4 A.M. Now, I'm cleaning the house before we leave. How many of you think you should clean the house before you leave for vacation? I feel like I have to. It's like wearing clean underware (or new) before going to the Dr. I hope to be done by the end of the day. With only the last minute things to do.

Always leave a clean house. Likely why I'm a bit overwhelmed and running behind schedule just before a trip.

I don't think I could change at this late date. I make sure I buy measuring cups with both measurements . I remember seeing them with only milimeters. No one bought them.

I remember being little and the States were suppose to convert over by a certain date/year to the world Standard practice. And I do remember them giving up but we officially converted over in the mid 70s but making it official it never just caught on. Still things linger, 2 liter Soda Bottles, liters of wine, medications,

We didn't go to our regular place. We went to the one nearest the hardware store where we needed to pick up a rake not a rake and a leaf blower. Note to self do not bring the dh to the hardware store ever again!

Me, my home being the home of 'tool central' and also I curse Harbor Freight as it is the show Tool Time in real life. The house has tools beyond any reasonable need. Enter the lovely piece of machinery the upscale miter saw. Certainly this saw could have been a Godsent tool 30 years ago when upgrades were happening to the home. 25 years after the purchase of the home not so much. It sits proudly on the workbench. Shiny and new. No saw dust remnants to be found. Likely a dream of youthful home ownership.

But a story of 5 years ago a real nice power washer appeared in the garage. It was pretty and shiny. Problem was we had nothing to utilize the power washer on. I questioned the purchase not because I questioned the need for tools but what the heck this big thing would ever be used for as I could not think of that we owned on our property that needed power washing. A Tim the tool-man moment. It went back. It didn't go over well. The miter saw though still sits proudly on the workbench. Shiny and clean.

I honestly believe AARP Men need a Cherry Car to work on. At least that has a end goal. How's yours going @Wrangler-Rick ??? You've been miss'n in the mist.

This is one I'm not too upset over because once a year he borrows our neighbor's and it has seen better days but still 3 guys and 3 rakes one would think we didn't need one. But I guess with James absence for the next few raking seasons it almost makes sense at least it was on a really good sale. The power washer is another tool that gets used enough I don't get too mad about him purchasing. He uses it for his car, the deck and such and I or he use it to do a set of windows that's hard to reach at least twice a year. The paint sprayer on the other hand came in very handy when we painted the house but has been only used 2 other times:cautious:
