Thanks for your kind thoughts. We started out with our two Parakeets. Then we added our four finches. 2 of those finches were Zebra finches, and they hatched 2 little girl finches. For just about four months now, we have been enjoying our four cages of birds. Two in each cage. My husband works from home now, and he loves taking care of our birds. He was heartbroken when he found the bird sick one day, and gone the next. We did remove her to her own cage overnight, so the other bird would not get sick as well. So far, she is as active as before. We are calling her Dottie. My husband thinks Dottie needs a companion.

I can't believe how early these finches mature. At four months old, we found a few eggs. I don't think the little girl was egg bound, although my husband did. I think she caught a draft. My husband had been putting them in the front window for part of each day. They loved it, and chirped all day long. I just think the one day was way too cold. Those birds are so tiny. I guess we will not know for sure. Just do the best we can.

We moved Spin & Marty, my parakeets in my TV room, where I am typing now. They entertain me a lot, and eat like little piggies. I think Marty is a girl, and Spin is alway squawking at her, and she goes from ignoring him one minute to smooching with him the next. Our birds have added a lot of joy to our life for almost a year now.
Maybe build them an inner house where they can hide if it gets too cold?

Benefits of working for my company:

They give you free lunch if you're in a meeting during lunch time.

Except since I'm an admin, I usually don't have meetings, but usually, my supervisor does and tells me to take food anyway. Food without having to sit through the meeting=win.

Hahaaa...!
Yep, you've all heard plenty about my office site visit and luncheon (without attending) food absconding over recent years...!!!!!!! :joyfull:  ;) :)

I'm flying United....wish me luck.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
Hopefully you won't get put off your flight and there will be no scorpions on the plane...:p

We flew United to Hawaii twice. Hated United. We flew Delta last time, and they were WORLDS better. Crew was absolutely more friendly, plane was newer, you could actually operate the entertainment system, their frequent flyer program has been nicer...just MUCH better. My dad was about to book United for their trip to Hawaii this summer. Although I wasn't going, I asked him why on earth he wanted to do that. My mom vetoed flying United. They're going with Delta.

I'm in the same boat. I got a lovely ring in Mexico...can't wear it....my gold with my diamond sits in the jewelry box.

I've had a problem with silver most of my life. Gold is
new-ish. I can still wear gold rings that are at least 14kt gold. Earrings not at all anymore. For a long time I could wear earings for several hours (special occasions) Can't do that anymore at all, within minutes I can feel the allergic reaction in the skin.
I can wear gold bracelets and necklaces likely cause they move around. Sadly my DD can't wear hardly any jewelry either.

It is kinda sad, I had enough good jewelry of my own, now I have half of all the stuff of my Mom's. I girl just wants to wear it all ya know! :geek:

Just don't go on United because they tell me that by the end of your vacation you are going to probably feel all dragged out.

Especially since we fly out of Chicago and would have to deal with the aviation police stationed here ya know.

Press conference today. Severe concussion, broken nose, punctured sinus, and knocked out his front teeth. Dude still in hospital.

But United says everyone that flew that flight will get a refund. Jiminy!

What about surgical steel, some of the new designs are nice same for titanium. There's always platinum:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: I guess I'm lucky I can throw costume in my ears, even in my cartilage hole.:joyfull: Food is something I have to watch:hilarious:

Is cartilage as sensitive as lobe area. I've only poked holes, one in each ear, no more no less. I have not tried titanium or surgical steel. I have two platinum ring settings. You have to be careful with those settings, it is a softer metal and the little prongs that hold the stones in pulls up easily, not nearly as durable as gold. Pretty though, more like a flat-dull white gold.

That's horrid. Even our old 2 ton+ van(rip) got 26 mpg.

Yea, I was wondering same. Is it apples and oranges mileage, as in city vs. highway, or what...?
18 city doesn't sound too bad, but, 18 highway these days would be pretty abysmal.
Even our old truck with the camper on it could get as much as 12 mpg (my pop tracked it religiously :angelic: ;)) on the highway... :cyclops:
