Dog is in the doghouse, so to speak. Early this morning, I was taking a few items out of a Christmas storage box and put them on the floor in the livingroom, for just a minute while I went to the closet for a hook. (I have this small, old knitted wreath from my grandmother, that I put in my kitchen each Christmas.)

Well, don't you know that the DOG decided to grab the little knitted wreath off the floor and proceeds to run upstairs. Caught the varmint out of the corner of my eye and I bolted after him. But, there is a raised area from the back room to the kitchen. My foot caught underneath the raised area, and I went airborne and crashed down on the floor (my knees took most of the hit), and just missed smashing my face into the tile. Got up, limping. I called up to hubs upstairs to get the knitted wreath away from the thief!!! :banghead: Now I have two huge bruises on both knees, they're slightly swollen, and I pulled a muscle in my right leg and right foot. Dog is getting coal in his stocking for Christmas!
I'm sorry you got a boo boo but it's all your fault for not paying enough attention to the poor little guy and leaving something fun to play with where he could get it. Prayers and pixie dust GWS and I'm sure poor Jack meant no harm, sweet doggie that he is:angelic: BTW ice will be your best friend tonight 20 on and 20 off. xoxo

That is exactly the same thing that I said to the Dentist and her assistant when I went in to get my tooth pulled. They asked me how I was doing and I said... I'd rather be at WDW. They both said at the same time... "So would I". I said, then let's go, my gas tank is full we can be there by 6pm. Then they both came up with lame reasons why they couldn't go, like the kids will be home from school at 2:30 or I'd have to cancel about 20 appointments, you know the same old cop-out lines. Anyway, I had to stay and let them destroy my million dollar smile. (sigh) :grumpy::eek:

I love the Haunted Mansion...one of my favorites. And I don't find the ride at all scary, but the pre-show in the entrance hall is a bit spooky and the rider swap isn't until AFTER that. I think they need to make the change OUTSIDE before you get to the preshow area, but not actually change the ride!

I agree, I don't find it scary, nothing in the attraction is set to startle the riders. Maybe because my kids rode it since they were 14 months and 2 months old at least once a year growing up they were accustomed to it, didn't have the opportunity to be scared? My son was a daredevil, went on BodyWars at 3 years old too and got off and wanted to go again while we were a little bluckie.

The only attractions my DD was nervous about was Thunder and Space. She rode between me and my Mom at 4 years old on Thunder and pinched my 'chest' the whole was way through the ride. Ouch. Then my Mom flipped out on me for taking her on THAT. She was fine and rode it many more times that trip. Space another story. She wanted to ride it, she was su cking it up and being brave. As we got close to loading she melted down out of nowhere. Change your mind? yessssssss and off to the chicken exit. She rode it at 5 years the next year no issues. Go figure.

When I was in first grade, the nuns had the Advent calendar in our classroom. Each day one of the kids could open up a "window" on it, and read the prayer of the day. Meanwhile, my little Protestant friend (who went to public school) had an Advent calendar at home, and she'd open up a window each day--and there would be candy . . .

So in a feeble attempt, I started praying to God for candy, hoping that at least one of the Advent days (oh, God, please . . .) we didn't have to pray, but could EAT! :hilarious:

I have no recollection of my Nuns ever ever letting us have candy, cookies or treats. I can't remember any Halloween, Christmas or Valentine Parties either. Now reciting off our homework at the end of the day, that I remember. They were not fun, they were all business but dang we came out the other side on average so much more prepared than our public school friends back in the day. Still didn't like them though.

The Nun that had everything to do with setting things up for my DD Baptism was the sweetest and most lovely elderly woman and I mean elderly. She asked if she could hold her and then held her the entire time during our meeting. Came away with the What Just Happened In There moment.

Ha! Wow--that one came out of left field, eh??!!! :jawdrop: (But my question is what in heck did they think a HM was--a prayer group? )

All of her kids turned out weird. Very Very smart but weird. None of them as adults as far as I know are in the culty church anymore but it did take its toll on most of them. The boy the only one and my DD age seemed to fair the best, he went off to Harvard. The oldest girl believes she is God's Gift and all knowing to those older and to all her siblings and cousins. Snarky thing, but in the name of God you know. She is a middle school math teacher. Certain all those kids will hate math by the point they have done their time with Ms. Snarky.

And to answer your question...they had all been to Disney and HM before. They still all go. Last trip a Mother Daughter no grandkid trip. I didn't ask about the HM but I was biting my tongue. So wanted to.

I like the new Soarin but not all of it. Seriously a dirt smell:hungover:

I don't like the bendy view you see from side seats. I'm surprised Disney OK'd that as good enough. Still from the center I really liked 2.0 but miss the oranges. As they flying into WDW they could have visited a few orange orchards along the way in.

Except out west, the entire film is the same, except you end in Disneyland. No Florida oranges. California oranges maybe, but no Florida.
