5:00-6:00am shoveling? NOPE NOPE NOPE!
Id rather get myself into a taco on my bed XD

I was not having very nice, warm or seasonal thoughts this morning at 3am. More if I let my thoughts take over my actions I would have been screaming out my front door or window at the fool in my neighborhood snowblowing the sidewalks. 3 O'CLOCK in the FREAK'N MORNING and snow blowers are so loud. My mind was not sending out good tidings for comfort and joy nor Peace on Earth.

So what did I do? I crawled out of bed peeked through the blinds, saw what I thought I was lovingly hearing. Had evil thoughts and crawled back in my warm bed and stuck my head under my pillow.

There have been multiple crashes in the Baltimore area this morning due to a winter storm that was less snow and more ice.

Yep. My kids had some very sad news yesterday. A mutual friend of theirs for a long time was killed in a car crash the day before yesterday. Don't know still what happened but it was 3 cars, 3 dead, 1 car driver OK cause the semi didn't run over that particular car like the other two-just not enough time I hear for the semi to avoid the collision ahead. They were in route to a basketball game, her being a coach. School was cancelled yesterday. Horrible.

I hate winter.

I was awake at 4:30 am I just couldn't sleep any more, but I didn't get up until I heard the snow plow go past a couple times. When I knew it wouldn't be piling up any more snow I got up and waited for hubby to wake up so we could get it done together. I would rather get it done early so I have the rest of the day to relax.

And before the sludge from the street that the plows push up on the aprons of the driveway turns into a solid ice rock formation.

Saw some film of that on the national news this morning. Baltimore wasn't the only area, either. Some other states were also having issues. Up here, it was regular snow and no particular icing problems, thank goodness. The snow was pretty. I got out there and shoveled the front steps, etc. :)

I shoveled a path to the sidewalk that leads to Starbucks. Does that count?

Oh no, sympathies to your kids. So terrible for everyone. :(

I love Bunch a Crunch too. My favorite movie theater treat.

I found them at Walmart in the center of the Aisle with all the seasonal baking stuff-not the regular year round baking stuff. So far I've only seen at Walmart. Used the batter recipe for Nestle's Toll House cookies. And use more bunch a crunch then they recommend cause the bunches are smaller.

I definitely wouldn't have been running a snowblower at 3 am, I would wait until a more decent hour than that unless it was an emergency and I absolutely needed to get out fast. But we just shovel, our snowblower doesn't work well. And we always try to get that snow plow junk out of the way before it turns into ice.

I might be going to Walmart tomorrow, if I decide to brave the subzero windchill. It is going to be -22 with -35 windchill tonight. The church was supposed to have the Sunday school Christmas program tomorrow, but canceled it because of the cold. They moved it to Wednesday instead, hopefully it will be a little warmer.

Dog is in the doghouse, so to speak. Early this morning, I was taking a few items out of a Christmas storage box and put them on the floor in the livingroom, for just a minute while I went to the closet for a hook. (I have this small, old knitted wreath from my grandmother, that I put in my kitchen each Christmas.)

Well, don't you know that the DOG decided to grab the little knitted wreath off the floor and proceeds to run upstairs. Caught the varmint out of the corner of my eye and I bolted after him. But, there is a raised area from the back room to the kitchen. My foot caught underneath the raised area, and I went airborne and crashed down on the floor (my knees took most of the hit), and just missed smashing my face into the tile. Got up, limping. I called up to hubs upstairs to get the knitted wreath away from the thief!!! :banghead: Now I have two huge bruises on both knees, they're slightly swollen, and I pulled a muscle in my right leg and right foot. Dog is getting coal in his stocking for Christmas!

My Daughter: Sure hope the wreath is OK :geek:

Me: Oh no, why would you put a wreath chew toy (jacks mind) on floor (where things for dog are placed) and leave the wreath unattended? ;)

Yike! Will hubs be able to drive you to work? Be well.
