Oh, Figgy, I'm sorry to hear about your sweet dog. There's nothing worse than the "decision" about an older pet and my heart goes out to you and your family. You will know when it's time, and so will your dog. Hugs to all.
Thank you so much. I'm a bit better this morning. My older ds isn't taking it well at all. He's very close to her, he doesn't always do well with people but they seem to understand each other.

I definitively need to buy corn. Havent had a good boiled corn with mayonnaise and cheese in a long time D:
To imitate a popular poster... Wait! What? Mayo and cheese on Corn on the Cob? Let me just say that I have a cast iron constitution. I can eat anything designed to be edible without any kind of negative result, but, that just made me feel a little queasy.

Drove 4 hours to drop DD at band camp yesterday, and 4 hours back. I can assure you, there is a lot of corn growing right now. :)
Yep. 8 hours through corn fields, there and back.
The upside...you live in a place where you can get fresh sweetcorn!! I MISS that. The stuff over here isn't nearly is good. Most people don't eat corn, and it's considered cattle feed. In Wyoming, nothing grows, but we used to visit my mom's relatives in Illinois every couple years and they had the BEST sweetcorn. We'd stop at a roadside stand along the way and pick up a bag, and another on the way home. Yummmm.

I think my dad has you beat. He was 35 when I was born and 41 when my brother was born. My mom was 29 when I was born and 35 when my brother was born. She still complains that at 35, she was considered a "geriatric mother."

My mom was worried about going into labor a few days before I was born, so she went to court when my dad had a case and waited outside the courtroom. The judge asked my father, "Aren't you a little old to be starting a family?" and my dad responded, "Yes, your honor.":hilarious:
My mom was 37 when she had my brother and 38 when she had me. Dad was 42 when my brother was born and almost 44 when I was born. People used to think my dad was my grandpa. We'd have visitation with him and we'd go swimming and someone would come in to the locker room and tell me my grandpa was waiting for me.

I thought it would be gross too, but I tried it and it was really good. The mayo goes on like butter, and the cheese was grated Parmesan then then there was a spice sprinkled on. I think the spice was called tajin (a seasoning mix) but you could probably use salt and pepper too.

Both of ours were totally free. We did have insurance, but, there was a large co-pay involved. However, my wife was an RN that worked at the hospital so the co-pay was comped. They both ended up being pretty expensive by the time they got through college, but, I now can look at it as money well spent.
I feel the same way, I wouldn't trade her for anything. She has grown, into a very responsible and caring person. Who happens to love Disney;)

Thanks, but, I'll remain old school on this one. Some people tell me that snails (grubs, slugs, slimy globs of shimmering mucus) are good too. I will take their word for it and as a famous Canadian once* said... PASS!
Actually a lot more then once. I'll refrain from naming anyone, but, her initials are @JenniferS
