Sympathy like.Thank you so much. I'm a bit better this morning. My older ds isn't taking it well at all. He's very close to her, he doesn't always do well with people but they seem to understand each other.

At our age we need all the help we can get, my hubby is three month's younger than me, so he is no "help" at all.My wife was actually 7 years older then I was, so she was 31 when the youngest was born and 33 when the youngest arrived. She will be 76 this month, so that usually makes me feel younger then I should feel.
Preferably, very melt-y butter.No--must have butter . . .
That was my positive. I miss her something awful, and judging from last night's phone call, she is really hating this camp. I know I have to let her tough it out, but I really wish I could just go and scoop her up.The upside...you live in a place where you can get fresh sweetcorn!! I MISS that. The stuff over here isn't nearly is good. Most people don't eat corn, and it's considered cattle feed. In Wyoming, nothing grows, but we used to visit my mom's relatives in Illinois every couple years and they had the BEST sweetcorn. We'd stop at a roadside stand along the way and pick up a bag, and another on the way home. Yummmm.
Bets, those are gorgeous pictures!! Very cheerful, indeed!! (You forgot one other person who also likes the bigger pictures--that would be @donaldtoo . You see, it's the way his mind works, from where he lives. Apparently, you haven't seen his coffee cup . . .)
I know what you mean, my youngest had some emotional (OCD) problems when she was in college. Unknown to us on the night before we left to pick her up for spring break she sought help and ended up in a hospital for counseling. We found out when we got there to pick her up. My paternal instincts kicked in and it was all I could do to not grab her, throw her in the car and head home. However, I knew that this was something she needed to see through, so I bit the bullet and left her there for the rest of the week then went back to pick her up when she was discharged. Longest week of my life. But, it was the right move, and she needed this exposure to reality and has been steady as a rock since then. I guess it's true... what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. That was my positive. I miss her something awful, and judging from last night's phone call, she is really hating this camp. I know I have to let her tough it out, but I really wish I could just go and scoop her up.
I heard a good tip to butter your corn, put a lot of soft butter on a piece of bread, roll corn around on the buttered bread. Enjoy. Plus you get to eat a nice warm slice of bread and butter. Not that I like carbs. or anything.Preferably, very melt-y butter.
I'm so sorry for the family. Take time for yourself, you need it. xoxoThank you so much. I'm a bit better this morning. My older ds isn't taking it well at all. He's very close to her, he doesn't always do well with people but they seem to understand each other.
Life is so hard today. I expect most of us are feeling stressed. So many senseless things in the world today.OK gang, I'm out...
Along with the usual daily stuff, I'm just mentally fatigued over the sickness in Orlando this past weekend.
Peace, love, and a peaceful as possible night and dreams to one and all of y'all...
I'm so happy for you. I can't wait for your trip report. Speaking of report. More pics today. If my computer will allow. Is anyone having trouble with this sight? It's been jumpy and slow for me today. I wonder if Windows, is still trying to download 10.YEA!!!!!! Kong is now doing soft openings and Hulk is testing. We're hoping to get to ride both
I'm not talking about yellow corn. I mean boiled white mexican corn. It tastes very good with a tiny layer of mayo and fresh cheese. To imitate a popular poster... Wait! What? Mayo and cheese on Corn on the Cob? Let me just say that I have a cast iron constitution. I can eat anything designed to be edible without any kind of negative result, but, that just made me feel a little queasy.
Technically, violence % wise is lowering compared to other decades or centuries.Life is so hard today. I expect most of us are feeling stressed. So many senseless things in the world today.
You are right, it's bad news overload. I'm going to take time out to watch a movie. I recorded Tangled. That will be my stress avoidance today.Technically, violence % wise is lowering compared to other decades or centuries.
We are just getting bombarded constantly of bad news.
In the older days, you could barely hear something that happened a few miles away.
Now you can get information of what happens in the other end of the world.. instantly.
