I'm so happy for you. I can't wait for your trip report. Speaking of report. More pics today. If my computer will allow. Is anyone having trouble with this sight? It's been jumpy and slow for me today. I wonder if Windows, is still trying to download 10.

Yay! More pics...! :)

No problems with the site here from my office desktop Computer.
Nor have I had any from my phone.

Technically, violence % wise is lowering compared to other decades or centuries.
We are just getting bombarded constantly of bad news.
In the older days, you could barely hear something that happened a few miles away.
Now you can get information of what happens in the other end of the world.. instantly.
That's very true. Many things happened in small towns, villages and cities that we never heard about. Local newspapers basically carried local stories, the window of national news was about a half hour every night with Walter Cronkite and 30 minutes did not give you all the bad news that happened on a daily basis.

What happened in Orlando was a terrible tragedy. Someone even mistakenly called as bad as 9/11. Emotions tend to fog our memories. It was bad, but, it wasn't the worse thing that ever happened nor will it be the last. I feel very bad for the families of those killed or injured, but, we cannot let it take over our existence to the point that we are afraid to leave our homes for fear of something bad happening. Or coming up with what seems like logical ways to avoid it, when only diligent mental health systems would even begin to cut into it. We don't need automatic weapons to be easily obtained, but, we cannot expect that it will stop them from getting into the hands of the crazies. They will find a way to kill people that they hate even if they have to hijack a plane and fly it into a building. Banning the sale of all guns will not stop people from getting them. How about pipe bombs, do we ban all plumbing supplies so that won't happen.

We have a big problem here in states. We have this respect for freedom that allows people with serious mental health issues to wander the streets untreated, angry and without the ability to keep their inner demons in check. That's what we need to find a way to fix. And we need to do it soon, so we can all live in some sort of contentment. Either that or ban all 24 hours news stations so we can once again live in peaceful ignorance.

OK, I musta' jinxed it...
For some reason, I'm not seeing 6 of @betty rose 's pics, @MouseDreaming 's corn on the grill pic (I could see it before o_O), and the cherry pie pic I just posted... o_O

Edit: I reloaded/refreshed the page, and now the only image showing up is @Cesar R M 's corn... :cyclops:
Your internet might be wonky, Mine has been as well.
Some sites loading, others not.

I wonder if some big internet link is failing worldwide. It happens rarely but it does.

Is the sun acting up again? Those sun spots can disrupt a lot of things.
hardly, most internet connections are done via fiberoptics.
The problem are the monstrous routers that handle the connections between backbones.
There has been cases of big crashes that have affected entire zones and then disrupted worldwide traffic.
Other cases are on purpose (like the block of internet in Middle East, including egypt and turkey)
And even (supposedly) US related (them cutting down a main fiber optic connection that links IRAN during the heightened tensions a few years ago)

You're all gonna think I'm nutty (then again, no big surprise there . . . ;) ) but I think I've seen that movie probably about 9 times since it came out. And it's always been panned by the movie critics; but I think the movie, somehow, has its own crazy sort of cult following (guilty as charged!!). :D :joyfull:
I've seen Twister so much I can quote almost all of it. :joyfull:
