I think my dad has you beat. He was 35 when I was born and 41 when my brother was born. My mom was 29 when I was born and 35 when my brother was born. She still complains that at 35, she was considered a "geriatric mother."
My mom was worried about going into labor a few days before I was born, so she went to court when my dad had a case and waited outside the courtroom. The judge asked my father, "Aren't you a little old to be starting a family?" and my dad responded, "Yes, your honor."![]()
I have them beat - I was 42 when my youngest was born. Guess what? He's graduated college two years ago and is living on his own, and I was healthy enough to participate in his activities as much as all of the "young" moms.
My oldest is going to be 33 this year, and hasn't started a family yet. I'm not concerned - she has plenty of time.
