wait a sec, you were sweeping, tried to find what you were stepping on, and then you get a fish hook in your finger? D:

Yup, sounds stupid doesn't it? The hook and carpet were the same color (dark blue) and was caught in the fibers enough I couldn't see it. The hook was only a half inch long.

Good morning to everyone. Guess who turned 68 today? Yup, I'm another year older, to bad I'm not another year wiser. We are going to the spring fling at youngest grandson' school tonight. The 4, 5, and 6 grades, are singing followed by a art show. Should be fun. The youngest loves to perform.

So here's how my day is going. I'm sweeping my family room floor when I hear whirrr, click, click, click. Thinking it was a lego, I looked in the canister to take it out. No lego. I didn't think about it more and put the sweeper away.

Walking back into my family room I stepped on whatever I was trying to sweep up but I couldn't see it. Backing up because I couldn't find it I stepped on it AGAIN! By this time I'm on my knees feeling for whatever it was. FOUND IT! I yanked up my hand with a small fish hook stuck in my finger. Not happy. I think I'm done cleaning today!

Yikes, hope your finger feels better.

For the past week on the radio they are doing a tourism commercial to visit Austin-to visit a Tequila Distillery.

Gone are the days that I believed Texan's drank Bourbon. (I watched a lot of Dallas back in the day.)

Hahaaa...!
There is at least one bourbon distillery here in town. Several that make anything from tequila, to rum, gin, vodka, etc.
The last time I remember having any liquor was at the office Christmas party. They were extra dry vodka martinis (3 olives ), and they were made with our local Tito's Vodka.

My finals begin this Thursday and my English teacher mentioned that she will give use free Pizza once our exams are done. I have 3 class only Thursdays and English is the last one which is my night class. We will be having pizza once our exams are over with. It will be worth it in the end. I have Music and a Geography exams during the day.

My first year of Community College sure did went by faster than my previous school years. Might be due to having classes on certain days that I got to pick. No classes on Monday or Wednesday, but have Music and Geography on Monday and Tuesday and Political on Friday for one day.

@BuddyThomas , have you ever been to a beer brewery tour? When I was in my early 20s, my mother and I went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery up in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The grounds up there were lovely and we also saw some of their Clydesdale horses.

Anyway, we took the tour and it was interesting. At the end, they served large glasses of whatever they were brewing that day. (I don't like beer, so I had an orange soda.) But even though I don't drink beer, I'm always fascinated by the process. I think that you and Phil might enjoy going there some day.

I've been on brewery tours.
'Course, that's like sayin' ketchup's been on French fries...!

Yes, but, none of those at Walt Disney World. We have a pretty famous one just about 45 minutes away from us in New Braunfels, Texas called "Schlitterbahn". It means "Slippery road" in German. A very fun place!

Yes, those are other fun things we've done here in Central Texas. There is a tubing river in New Braunfels, Texas, and a Sea World in San Antonio, Texas.

yep i used a life jacket when i went tubing i actully lived in the hill country i sometimes used a life jacket at water parks too ever been too canyon lake
