Definitely! It took me YEARS to build up relationships with the people I've met. And most of those people were from pre-facebook era. I don't add people to my FB who I don't know, anyway. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience!
agree with you. also its annoying to see these young people and teenagers adding EVERYONE they can.
I keep getting requested by people from African Nations. Not sure if its because of my fake name in facebook. ( I use a fake name and a cartoon character as main avatar)

I remember we had over 150 one year, my back killed me from getting up and down so much. Maybe, I just should stand at the door. Whoops, then my feet would be killing me. ha We bought over 1,200 suckers and hundreds of chips this year, as Halloween is over the week-end. We have people driving to our neighborhood and letting out dozens of kids. I guess word gets around that we have a safe neighborhood. We have seen several police go up and down our street during Halloween. I can't blame the parents for looking for a safe place to trick or treat!
Do you live in a neighborhood where people tend to give out the expensive goodies? Word gets around about that, too. There is no trick-or-treating here, though Halloween is starting to become a bit more popular in the last few years, so I always buy a bag of candy, just in case...but I've never had anyone come to the door. Kids DO go around on Nov. 11th for St. Martin and they sing for candy, but I've never had St. Martin kids, either. But then, we never had trick or treaters when hubby and I lived in the US either. A lot of kids don't bother with apartment buildings.

My brother has over 1000 people on his fb. I think I have too many with 400. But everyone I ever went to school with seems to feel the need to add EVERYONE from our home town, so they request me and I feel bad saying no, even if we weren't friends. I have a few people blocked because they tormented me in school and I don't want them to be able to see anything about me, but for the most part, I will add anyone who requests me as long as I know them. Perhaps I should go through and delete a few. But my brother has SOOOO many people on his FB. I think it's mostly because of Matthew Shepard.

Registered for classes. Didn't get one section that I wanted because it said it is restricted to fashion majors.o_O Why an international marketing class is restricted to fashion majors is beyond me. I signed up for a marketing elective for now that is at the same time. I'll probably call the registrar's office tomorrow and see if that section will open up to other majors at a later date.

Now it is nap time..
Is the marketing class geared toward fashion industry marketing? We had certain classes in the music department where there were 2 different sections...one for majors and one for non-majors, and the ones for majors were harder. Or like the World Music class that I mentioned earlier, it was a required class for majors, so majors got preference for spots and whatever was left over, they filled in with anyone else who wanted to take it. If the marketing class is one that is geared more specifically toward the fashion industry rather than a broad general marketing class, that might explain it.

4 days until Halloween! :jawdrop:

I've been very good so far about not opening up the candy bags for trick or treaters on Halloween . . . until tonight. I had the (small-sized) Kit Kats and 2 of the Hershey's as well. Then again, I was performing a public service, by taste testing the candy so that I'd be sure the children who come by, would like it . . . :p

One of my friends lives right near there....that's one of the places she's going to show me whenever I get over there to visit.

Oh, that's great!! By the way, if you get a chance (you may have to call ahead to reserve seats), go to the banquet they have in the evening. They had Mead (liked that!), some good food, and some lovely entertainment as well. I thought it was worth every cent we paid to experience it (I had gone years ago with a friend and her family; we had a blast in Ireland)!

The police patrol our neighborhood on Halloween, too. As you said, since it's on Saturday this year, that might bring out more people.

So Hollywood and Vine goes to the dogs...can't Disney leave anything without a character in it alone.

Rite Adi got bought out by Walgreens which leaves only two major players in the drug game (besides drug lords ;))

But Hollywood and Vine will have Minnie!!! She'll have special dining events with guests. I like this! :D

Rite Aid got bought out by Walgreens?! Yikes. First I've heard of that. The more the big pharmacies buy up the others, the less choice we'll have as consumers about competitive pricing, etc. :(

We are a rural community so many kids are brought in town. Our local businesses have T or T from 1-3 (McD's always gives away ice cream) and residential T or T is townwide 3-6.
