Both Vinegar and baking soda are pretty harsh on materials. The ammonia is the last thing I add to the washer. I don't measure it out anymore, I can eyeball what a cup is and slam the cork right back on the bottle. Minimum reek'n. But if you have a headcold it certainly clears those sinus' while setting up the washer.

We washed all my DD new bedding and towels with ammonia too while she was setting up her apartment. Passed it along to another generation.
I didn't know about the harshness. I can't do ammonia, instant dizziness and migraine for me. Oh, well maybe, my clothes will have to be laundered in just scentless detergent. Thanks for the info, @gabe 1.

Many I loved and still there were ones that worked on my last nerve. All of the Lucy Shows. I don't find stupid funny. Then there was the Donna Reed Show, also in reruns. Who the heck dressed like that to wash windows? Even some of the Andy Griffith shows were a bit too preachy with teaching lessons to young'ns But for the most part the creativity in storylines was very good. New sitcoms still copy those storylines, gotta love it.
I never liked Lucy either. Never found her funny in any way. Donna Reed was so sickening sweet. Never a hair out of place, and you are so right about the clothes, same for Leave it to Beaver's mother. I've never worn pearls to clean the house, ever. Back in those days my Mom had what was called house dresses. Kind of like a cotton house coat. Only made like a dress. Super cheap, and had big pockets to carry supplies or dirty socks in. Ha!

My dad was a big Get Smart fan. He bought the first season on DVD so that my brother and I could watch a few episodes. He thought we'd laugh a little and be done with it.

We now have all five seasons on DVD. I've seen every episode at least once; most of them I've seen a shameful amount of times. My brother is even worse.

That show also basically predicted cell phones. Although for the most part, we don't keep them in our shoes.
Another great show, was the original Bob Newhart Show. I loved Howard the neighbor, and Jerry the dentist. Of course Bob could give the best one liner's. That would have to be my favorite of all time.

Hubby just finished his bike ride. He liked it too! He said it didn't stress his body either. It's a keeper! Going to ride for 30 minutes this morning and another 30 this afternoon. I love doing this and going no where. Maybe I can find a travel show and pretend I'm going somewhere!;) Talk later!:inlove::inlove:
