Congratulations!!! Is the scholarship to the fallback school or to a school of his choice? I got tuition and fees for 4 years to my school and had enough other scholarships to pay for my first year of room and board and books as well. I wouldn't have been able to go without that. I hope it all works out for him!!
The scholarship is to the fall back school. But, he is all ready to go there, now that he knows he can walk to a gumbo shop from there. Honestly, even his fallback school is a great choice. Interestingly enough, they share a few jazz faculty members with another school he is applying to.

I never liked Lucy either. Never found her funny in any way. Donna Reed was so sickening sweet. Never a hair out of place, and you are so right about the clothes, same for Leave it to Beaver's mother. I've never worn pearls to clean the house, ever. Back in those days my Mom had what was called house dresses. Kind of like a cotton house coat. Only made like a dress. Super cheap, and had big pockets to carry supplies or dirty socks in. Ha!

I never saw my Mom in a housedress, she wore those stretchy polyester leggin's with a seam up the front of the leg around the house.
My one Gran though wore house dresses most of the time. Even as she aged she made messes and then cleaned them up and repeat. Gave her something to do.

I didn't know about the harshness. I can't do ammonia, instant dizziness and migraine for me. Oh, well maybe, my clothes will have to be laundered in just scentless detergent. Thanks for the info, @gabe 1.

Yeah salt will eventually dry rot most cloth. Vinegar is a pretty harsh acid. It is great for killing weed though.

How are you doing?
I have a migraine.:grumpy: Only place I can study is outside in the shade with sunglasses on, and I can't figure out whether I want my jacket or not. Still going to try to go for my walk today; with sunglasses I'm okay.

We're getting a new roof on the house. Tuesday I was gone all day and never heard the work going on. Yesterday, I just had Spanish at my other school. I should have gone to my school for the day and just hung out and studied there, but went and came home. Now today, I am paying the price. Live and learn. My parents are talking about getting a new kitchen next year. I think I'm going to have to go stay with my aunt for a while. The cat won't be happy about that, but my lungs and head will be happier.

Baking soda is for water softening, we have a lot of minerals in our water. The vinegar is to keep colors bright. I have a rinse cycle cup and put the vinegar in that to the proper fill line, like using fabric softener. The baking soda, or borax (it's better in my opinion) is put in after the machine agitates 5 minutes. It's not the best stain releaser, but does help with our hard water, which causes these new detergents not to work better.
We have similar issues of having too many minerals.
Our shower heads get clogged very fast with white mineral residues. Annoying.

Hubby just finished his bike ride. He liked it too! He said it didn't stress his body either. It's a keeper! Going to ride for 30 minutes this morning and another 30 this afternoon. I love doing this and going no where. Maybe I can find a travel show and pretend I'm going somewhere!;) Talk later!:inlove::inlove:

My 99 year old stepgrandfather rode his bike up until about last year. It was really good for him and likely the reason that, even with recently breaking his hip, getting pneumonia, and now ending up in rehab, he is still in better shape than my 80 year old biological grandfather.[/QUOTE]
