Me too. I love the DVD show, the little boy, Richie was so cute. I loved watching DVD, "trip" over the ottoman each episode.Hahaaa...!
LOVE so many of those old shows. Sooo comforting...!![]()
I didn't know about the harshness. I can't do ammonia, instant dizziness and migraine for me. Oh, well maybe, my clothes will have to be laundered in just scentless detergent. Thanks for the info, @gabe 1.Both Vinegar and baking soda are pretty harsh on materials. The ammonia is the last thing I add to the washer. I don't measure it out anymore, I can eyeball what a cup is and slam the cork right back on the bottle. Minimum reek'n. But if you have a headcold it certainly clears those sinus' while setting up the washer.
We washed all my DD new bedding and towels with ammonia too while she was setting up her apartment. Passed it along to another generation.
Wouldn't that be wonderful. I would take a ship over the ocean. I don't like long plane travel. Boats are longer, but much more fun. Food and great entertainment. Okay, I want a cruise soon!I think if any of us ever hit the lottery it will be gone on a a magical trip around the world, but what a way to go LOL
Don't forget your polka dot swim attire!Yes! TSSFF (T-Shirt Shorts Flip Flops) forever...!!!![]()

I never liked Lucy either. Never found her funny in any way. Donna Reed was so sickening sweet. Never a hair out of place, and you are so right about the clothes, same for Leave it to Beaver's mother. I've never worn pearls to clean the house, ever. Back in those days my Mom had what was called house dresses. Kind of like a cotton house coat. Only made like a dress. Super cheap, and had big pockets to carry supplies or dirty socks in. Ha!Many I loved and still there were ones that worked on my last nerve. All of the Lucy Shows. I don't find stupid funny. Then there was the Donna Reed Show, also in reruns. Who the heck dressed like that to wash windows? Even some of the Andy Griffith shows were a bit too preachy with teaching lessons to young'ns But for the most part the creativity in storylines was very good. New sitcoms still copy those storylines, gotta love it.
I remember now, you posted a picture of you and her. Thanks for waking up my brain!I have a miniature schnauzer.
Hubby does too. Except Lucy.I still love all of those, actually.![]()
Her heart is in the right place. And she was one great mature girl to call you Mom!My daughter decided to sleep with me tonight to "smack your hand if it looks like you're rubbing!"Of course she's snoring away and not paying attention.

This may sound corny but I loved Mr. Ed.I'm a big fan of Get Smart too. Funny and had a story line with a tiny bit of suspense. It is one of the few I have slight memory of them being in primetime and my family watching the show. The show my folks never missed when I was young was All in the Family.
Another great show, was the original Bob Newhart Show. I loved Howard the neighbor, and Jerry the dentist. Of course Bob could give the best one liner's. That would have to be my favorite of all time.My dad was a big Get Smart fan. He bought the first season on DVD so that my brother and I could watch a few episodes. He thought we'd laugh a little and be done with it.
We now have all five seasons on DVD. I've seen every episode at least once; most of them I've seen a shameful amount of times. My brother is even worse.
That show also basically predicted cell phones. Although for the most part, we don't keep them in our shoes.
I liked both his shows, the last episode where he woke up with Emily was the bestAnother great show, was the original Bob Newhart Show. I loved Howard the neighbor, and Jerry the dentist. Of course Bob could give the best one liner's. That would have to be my favorite of all time.
Yes, what surprise! One of the best endings of any sitcom on TV.I liked both his shows, the last episode where he woke up with Emily was the best
I like the DickVanDyke show too. My favorite episode is when he's trying to get to his wedding.I am a big fan of both That Girl and The D ick Van D yke show. Entertaining good fun.
