I admire you for studying another language. Good for you. I also think @Cesar R M is awesome. He has worked hard to learn English, and I think he does a great job.
and I want to have some free time to learn japanese or other language...
going to be very hard as most of these languages (like chinese) are very vocal.
single change of the voice structure and could mean something completely different.

Dude, up here we call them "chocolate bars".
Which is an insult to "chocolate bars" around the world! :in pain:
When my girls were little their grandfather (remember him, the one that hated me) always brought them both a Coffee Crisp (yea, big spender, eh) and they have fond memories of them as well.
It was at that point when I started to consider the idea of having the girls tested to see if they really were related to me.

I am so so sorry that you have to experience racism or any ounce of hate directed toward you. People are jerks and I hope some day this changes.
Honestly, most of the time I do not feel insulted. I feel pity for them. Because they have to lower themselves and have to act a full blown stunt to look "cool" to their friends.
Is like they really have nothing else to show.
In a way, most of the people who have severe hate toward someone else, is because they feel insecure about themselves.
For example, I really think that those who are so blatantly racism.. Is because they FEAR to be inferior to those who hate.
So they waste tons of effort to belittle other groups or take them down at all costs to make themselves feel better of themselves.
Similar to the "compensation" stunts of some Men. (aka the famous male member compensation syndrome.. where they have to buy gigantic cars, act like misogynist ahole jocks and wear pink to portray how "macho" they are.. where in reality its just a mask of their own insecurity)

Very mild. They actually taste an awful lot like KitKat, but not divided for sharing; which makes them even better.

My dad always used to hand out candy here while Hubby and I took the boys out trick or treating. He would immediately lay claim to at least half the Coffee Crisps before he started, and then all the ones left at the end of the night. :)

Sounds good. If I ever come across a coffee crisp I'll get one!

Ha! Two of my friends over here are Mexican and our little group of friends gets together and we teach each other to make things from our home countries...like eggrolls from Indonesia, a rice dish from Sri Lanka, etc. One of the Mexican sisters was teaching us to make traditional Mexican tacos, empanadas, etc, and one of the things was a tortilla and then you pinch the edges all the way around so it makes kind of a ledge to hold the toppings on and I think it was called something like pellascadas or something and she explained that the word meant "to pinch". Hubs and I couldn't remember the word, but remembered it had to do with pinching the edges, so we started calling them "Pinchadas" and then she told us that meant something really bad in spanish, but she never told us what.
Thats correct, and the word could be " Pellizcadas".
And what you mention, sounds like a "Sope". :hungry:

If anyone likes spy/history movies, hubby and I went to see "Bridge of Spies" last night. It was really well done and enjoyable. The only low point was the elderly man and wife behind us that decided to talk and comment on many of the parts of the movie, we even asked them to stop and they didn't.

I actually said to my husband (once the movie ended and so the couple could hear) that I would have rather sat with my middle schoolers as they are better behaved and quieter during movies. The guy just looked at me and said sorry, not in a way that he thought he had done anything wrong. We should have moved but we were too lazy and it was a pretty full theater so we would have been moving to the 1st or 2nd row.

Good to know. I'd see it because I like Tom Hanks. I'll probably wait for it to come to Netflix or Redbox, though.

Happy Saturday! It was a chilly morning here today. We 33 degrees by the time, hubby, dog, and I headed out for coffee and donuts. Also, turned the electric blanket on for the first time last night. The blanket heated up fast and was nice and toasty, even the dog snuggled deeper under the covers last night.

I'm happy that you're happy. I think 33 would have been ideal for this morning; my area was about 41 at 7 a.m. I settled for that, but would have preferred 33!!

And this is why I won't go to movie theaters anymore. If the fools aren't talking, they're turning on their phones with the bright lights that are really disturbing, when you're trying to watch a movie. I'm done with theaters at this point.
