We are doing another dining package, this time at wine country trattoria. We already did the Carthay circle one.

I haven't eaten at the trattoria, but the wine is good.

I like many of the less popular restaurants. Big River is a go to for us, their Kobe Burger is over the top yummy.

I don't eat burgers, but that looks yummy! Especially the bun.

Rope drop at the MK is a must, I love the welcome show!

Someday I'll make it there!

Is your family in the military? (Sorry, I don't know anything about your background.) I'm only asking because I "thought" Shades of Green was only for active military and their immediate family, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Or maybe years ago, that was the case.

It's active or retired military, certain civilian DOD certain family members of those

Im surprised you could get such low prices.. I mean.. the place seems very good.
Sort of reminds me of the "national park" style theming (from Cars 2)

No sales tax either. Just like a PX only super nice

Yep, we never made it to rope drop on our trip - the earliest we would get to the parks was around 10am. Live and learn.

Being a morning making rope drop is sleeping in for me

That sounds like fun!! I've never been to Disneyland and it always looks like they have some great attractions there, some of them very different from WDW in Florida. Enjoy!!

I was packing up stuff for Goodwill. Walt thought we were going or the kid was leaving again. When I left with the stuff and returned he in a funk seemed so confused.

Ha! If there's one thing I've learned about dogs in general, it's that they do not adjust well to ANY change. Routine and familiarity is their security blanket. Also, if they have one bad experience, anything you do to even minimally resemble the former scene (packing up items) will throw them into a mental breakdown. They're very emotional creatures!
