That's a good suggestion and thank you. Wish I had thought of something like that earlier. So far, he's been doing well by our mixing just a little of his old dog food, with more of the newer grain-free dog food. We're not done yet by any means with this experiment; and we're keeping an eye on him for the next few weeks to see what other options might also work out well for him Eventually, we're trying to find a more reasonably priced, long-term, dog food "combination" -- (feeding him a mixture of 1/2 of some regular dog food, and 1/2 of the premium, grain-free, salmon dog food from the pet store).

My parents give my Bubba and their Chloe Costco brand. I believe it sweet potato based. A friend from work recommended it.

Is your family in the military? (Sorry, I don't know anything about your background.) I'm only asking because I "thought" Shades of Green was only for active military and their immediate family, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Or maybe years ago, that was the case.

I'm not sure about this, but, I think it was a Golf Resort before it was "Shades of Green".

There's some sweet potato in the premium brand that he seems to like, too. Dog foods have certainly changed over the years!

You're right. I put the Wikipedia link below--very interesting section under "History" of the resort. Seems like they renamed it more than a few times. And I guess I was right--it is for the military.

We had a neighbor who had a very cute Flamingo, the HOA made them take it out.

Yes, as far as I've heard the military leases it. There are a couple military hotels around the world. We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian. Village in Oahu and next door was the hale Kia a military only hotel. Although anyone could use the beach bar and they had cheaper drinks that the Hilton and cheaper food. The drinks were delicious.

HOA = Home Owners Association (they basically tell you what you can and cannot do with your house's appearance/structure).
