Could be that the car as way too many things cluttered together, because it never received proper maintenance.
I always say that the local Ford Mechanics are a bulk of lazy morons.
They never open the engine or check the real issue. They just connect the computer and then pray for it to tell them whats wrong.
They never fixed the car (not the jeep) completely.
Issues have been lingering for almost a decade now.

Yep, I completely understand the issues that can pile up with an old, well-used vehicle, even if it is well taken care of. And, I also understand the part about incompetent and/or sleazy mechanics. Fortunately, we have a very reputable one that we take our vehicles to. They always give me a list of things that need to be taken care of immediately, or at some point. They're very thorough. There are things that need to be taken care of right away, of course, things I can take care of myself, and things that can wait.
I hope you can eventually find a shop you can completely trust.

LOL! Unfortunately any job I have ever had required whole days on Fridays. I'm definately not a workaholic! Haha Just forced to work 8 hours on Friday's like every other week day. Been working in Medical Reords positions for a big hospital corporation now for 14 years. They don't believe in "half days" on Fridays! Boooooo! lol :arghh:. The upside is I never have to work weekends! M-F only unless I want to make up time on the weekend (that I never choose to do) lol.

I've been getting 59s on Fridays before every holiday including Mothers Day and Fathers Day, 59s is the 'code' to let us leave early. Nice finally being in some place that appreciates you after working in food service hell for eight years.

I love my mechanic. :inlove: Took us almost 5 years to find another after the one here closed up shop because the town leaders didn't like the service stations decor. :cautious: Our long time mechanic was a full time fireman that passed in the line of duty  at the age of 38. Finding the one we have now was a relief.

When my DS applied years ago to be in Disney's college program he said to me the only way he would not go is if they placed him in QS Foods. I feel for them all. He was fortunate and was placed in a Plum position. The lady supervisor hand picked him when he arrived, neither regretted the assignment. She did a lot for my DS and his future and for that I will be ever thankful. QS foods, well that would have did little for his career experience other than working for the Disney Brand, it does still carry weight.

I'm only applying to select jobs that I want to. I've have been there for 3 mths and I already have my foot out the door. :) I want to work for an intentional company.

Yep, you can be a little more choosy when you are employed now when looking for the next one.

It is a hard call being there only 3 months. Prospective employers can look at you as a real good candidate or they can look at 3 months of employment and not risk hiring you fearing you'll jump ship there too after 3 months. Could go either way.

Yea, just the one short term at that job probably won't be much of a problem (especially if he leaves of his own accord), but, with a coupla' more like that on his resume, the "job hopper" red flag will definitely go up with the vast majority of prospective employers.
