The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Who, Janis Joplin, The Doors, CCR, Johnny Cash, Motown...the 60s wasn't all cheese.
The unfortunate part of Janis Joplin is her voice was so damaged by drugs (and they ultimately killed her at age 27). Personally, can't get passed the voice. There have been other musicians that have had their voices damaged by drug use, but not to the same degree. I didn't realize she was only 27 when she died until I looked it up just now.

Although I prefer classic rock from the 70s in general. Aerosmith, Queen, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Eagles, etc. :)

Those were my favorite's too. Good music, to my ears back then.
Good music all!! But what about Zeplin?

Story time...back to the farm...this time visiting Uncle Bob's farm.. I had never rode a horse before. After having help getting on the horse, it was a nice gentle ride for the first minute or two. Then the horse just took off, jumped over some wood...no more bridle for me. I hung on to the saddle, for dear life. I guess the horse got tired after about 5 minutes...starting walking again. I was around 11 at the time. Took me years before I would ride any horse. :D

Wow. That's odd that your library doesn't have better temperature/humidity controls in place, to prevent that from happening to some of the books there. Anyway, on a related note, there is something called a "book swap" at one of the train stations I go to. There are shelves full of books, and the sign says to leave a book, take a book. I think that's a great sharing idea.

We have a book swap at our train station too. I took a good 4-5 dozen books to the train station about a month ago and shelved them. On Mother's Day not one was left.

Heh, heh . . . dogs "live" everywhere! We have this rule with Jack that he can only enter the bedroom if we let him in. Then, he can lounge on the rug in there, but not climb on furniture, etc. Yesterday morning, we forgot to shut the bedroom door in the morning. When I came home last night, I went upstairs and guess what I saw? No, it wasn't Jack (he knows he's not supposed to be in there if we are not there), but . . . ALL, repeat ALL of Jack's toys (about 8 of them . . . ) had mysteriously "appeared" all over the bedroom rug! BUSTED!!

My DD laughed so hard when I told her the latest Jack story. She has heard them all. Love that boy. :inlove:

I told this story before your time but when I was (really Dad) picking out my horse they put me up on his back. No bridle, no saddle. The rest of the horses took off through the field to the other end of the pasture, several block until they came to the property fence out by the main road. I slammed my body into his mane all while holding onto his mane for dear life. Scared my folks to death as they watched from outside the barn. When he finally caught up to his buddies and stopped I slid off him and wandered back to the barn. Yep, that was the horse that became mine.

I do a mix of approaches when we go to the parks. Usually we hit them at rope drop the first two days and don't leave til closing time then sleep in our third day and rest that day. It works for us. But we might change it up. This year, my son's and my first day will be at the 24 hour party.
Sadly, I always seem to miss ropedrops :(
I wanted to see the show in the front.

sounds just like Amy Winehouse.
