One per person plus a smaller personal item (purse, backpack, laptop case) that can fit under the seat.One carry-on per person. I've flown nothing but SW for the past 20+ years.
But if you choose a bulkhead seat (one in front of the plane with no underseat space) all items must go in the overhead bin.
The advantage for @JenniferS 's hubby is that he would have more leg room.



College is smarter; there are water coolers. Benefit of being in a private college: they like to keep their students happy, which means they invest in things like water coolers. Both of my schools are also WAY cleaner than my public schools were. I probably would have had less health problems if my schools had been cleaner. Interesting how now that I'm in college, I have far fewer issues. But I digress
