One carry-on per person. I've flown nothing but SW for the past 20+ years.

One per person plus a smaller personal item (purse, backpack, laptop case) that can fit under the seat.

But if you choose a bulkhead seat (one in front of the plane with no underseat space) all items must go in the overhead bin.

The advantage for @JenniferS 's hubby is that he would have more leg room.

That being said, I'll bet your doctor would prefer that you drink WATER!

I don't drink coffee in the morning; I head straight for a Coke Zero. I keep Coke Zero and bottled tea in the back of my car.

EDIT: Now if we're talking regular soda, the only time I drink that is when I'm sick and only if the soda is Ginger Ale

believe it or not, there are people who drink 2 liters of Soda PER DAY.

One of my uncles's family.. churned 2 big bottles every lunch and dinner.. that's 6 liters per day.

or I could also put a clothing hanger on my back and hang myself on the curtain metal tube.

Or you know, you could sleep on a blow-up mattress on the floor.

I used to fly Aerolitoral from San Antonio to Guadalajara when I was a teenager to visit my friend. Small little prop plane with like 9 seats that stopped in Monterrey on the way. I think they call the airline AeroMexico Connect now.

Aerolitoral actually had bigger prop planes before being merged with AeroMexico.
they now use the same planes as other US airlines (Embraer , Fokker and small Bombardier planes)

There is little to no evidence supporting dangers of aspartame. And even so, as our pal @Goofyernmost likes to remind us, everything that we do is damaging to our bodies. Unless there is some conclusive proof that it will kill me, I'm not going to stop drinking it.

Given my family history, I'd be more concerned about diabetes. This is one reason why I do not drink regular soda unless I'm sick and avoid any drinks other than juice with sugar. I would say that is more of a concern than diet soda, given that it runs on both sides of the family and a great aunt died of it in her 50s. My doctor also says that I have a higher risk based on factors in my blood, so he said he'd rather me drink diet soda.

I honestly believe Aspartame only damages those who are either alergic to it.. or when it causes a very strange chemical reaction with other stuff (extremely rare)

Its like how the pepco bismol makers warn you of the SINDROME DE REYE.
a deadly illness that can be made worse with the combination of pepto and other stuff (mainly aspirin).

I rather go to Allies Donuts. The donuts at Dunkin are pathetic after you've tried those. Not to mention, I go bye 2 Dunkins on my way to the highway

Never had Allies Donuts but the donuts at Dunkin's are great. I'll take them any day over those puffs of sugar and air at Krispy Kreme. You have to eat a dozen of those things to fill up.

He has been born! 6lbs 10oz. Little guy as he was due May 9th so a bit early.

But, although our oldest DD was 8 lbs. 8 oz., and or youngest DD was 7 lbs. 13 oz., again, our DS in the middle was 1 lb. 4 oz.. From my perspective, 6 lbs. 10 oz. is a giant.

I love hearing this. And it just goes to prove my point that there are plenty of good, decent people in Baltimore. The troublemakers always seem to make the headlines, and that is unfortunate.

Yeah, the overwhelming majority are good.

At the Moment in Chicago we have crazy. Emergency Action Solidarity with Baltimore that started at a Police Station with 1700 saying on Facebook they were coming...still 3-400 estimate arrived, that is a lot of people outside a police station yelling "Back up, back up, we want freedom!" Now they are marching chanting "If the gangs can unite in Baltimore, then they can in Chicago, Where is the outrage from Chicagoan's?"

How they don't start acting badly.

Which I do. There is also water in the back of my car. But not as much as I drink other stuff. Kind of was turned off by water when it used to run brown in middle and high school. College is smarter; there are water coolers. Benefit of being in a private college: they like to keep their students happy, which means they invest in things like water coolers. Both of my schools are also WAY cleaner than my public schools were. I probably would have had less health problems if my schools had been cleaner. Interesting how now that I'm in college, I have far fewer issues. But I digress

We have always paid the $10 for first dibs. By the amount of people that board with us I think that is why there is nobody else in Group A. Needing to be up at 2am, traveling 1.5 hours to Midway in the Middle of the night when only drunks seem to be on the road I'm willing to pay the little bit more to get on the 6am plane, pick my seat, pull out my pillow and blankie, rest my head on the window and go back to sleep for a few hours.

Consider this:

Diet Soda and The Risk of Type II Diabetes

Type II diabetes has increased at an alarming rate in the past few decades and now afflicts about 300 million people worldwide.

This disease is highly associated with obesity and sugar consumption, so some would argue that replacing sugar-sweetened beverages with calorie-free drinks would help.

However, there is no evidence of these drinks being helpful against diabetes.

A study of 6,814 individuals aged 45-85 years, daily consumption of diet soda was associated with a 67% increased risk of type II diabetes (2).

In another study, 66,118 French women were followed for a total of 14 years. Women who consumed the most diet drinks had a 121% greater risk of developing type II diabetes (5).

Data analysis from two large Harvard studies revealed that diet drinks raised diabetes risk in women, but not men. Each daily serving increased the risk of a diabetes diagnosis by 6% (6).
