Depends. When I'm at a restaurant, I'll drink between 4-6 Diet Cokes while there. I get my money's worth. Now at places where there are no refills or they only have Pepsi, I either drink water or bring my own.

There's a restaurant in Camden Yards called Dempsy's. We go there a good bit, especially before night games. Sodas run about $4.50 a piece. Outside, they run $5. Dempsy's is free refills on any soft drink AND they give you one to take with you.

Depends on if you'll get your money's worth.
I'm not sure I drink 4-6 sodas A YEAR!

I found this on a site entitled.... Not Always Right. I think we all know who the Customer was. I won't mention any names but her initials are @JenniferS.

(I’m working in the back making orders. One comes up on the screen for a burger, no tomato. The cashier gets my attention.)

Cashier: “[My Name], that ‘no tomato’ is an allergy.”

(I go through the normal process of swapping utensils, cleaning the work area and so forth. I start making the burger and pause halfway as a thought occurs.)

Me: “Hey, [Cashier], that tomato allergy? It’s no ketchup either, then?”

(The cashier asks.)

Cashier: “No, they said it’s fine. Actually they want extra.”
Yes. And your point is?

Some people don't.

I don't drink coffee in the morning; I head straight for a Coke Zero. I keep Coke Zero and bottled tea in the back of my car.

EDIT: Now if we're talking regular soda, the only time I drink that is when I'm sick and only if the soda is Ginger Ale
My gut couldn't handle that much carbonation.
Plus, I hate soda burps ... especially the kind that reverberate through my nose.

TMI?

Politics and religion are two topics that aren't supposed to be discussed on the forums, but without going off on an Anti-American tangent, what's your problem with the National Anthem?

Nothing political or Anti-American (o_O) about it. I just think "America the Beautiful" is a much better piece of music. America is a great country and it should have a great anthem.

I haven't drank 4 - 6 sodas since college which is almost 10 years ago.

Watch out for Aspartame. Number one reason why Regular soda is better than Diet

Not quite.

To each her own. Guess it depends on how your system handles it.

At my old job, I used to bring in a big bottle of Coke Zero. I think it was one liter and it was 99 cents. It became a standing joke at the office. If I didn't bring it in, my boss would say, "Where is your Coke Zero?" He still sends me stuff on FB about Coke Zero.

Premies usually do. Hard to tell at this point, though. They were both breathing without assistance, but of course they are in the special unit. So nothing yet, but we'll have to see.

Thankfully, she is a step-cousin (she has no involvement with her father and calls my uncle dad, and he refers to her as his daughter, not his step daughter so as far as we are concerned, she is our family) so she does not have asthma nor the genetic predisposition in the family for asthma. A lot of premies end up with asthma, so at least there's no genetic factor there.

The problem is that she is so tiny that it was hard for her to carry twins. She wasn't due until early August, but her doctor put her on bed rest at the end of March. So it's not terribly surprising.

I said, "Well, if they were going to be premature, couldn't they have waited two days?"

Prayers that they are still doing well tonight, and continue to do so.
With our 1lb. 4oz. miracle DS, we know what those parents are going through.

One carry-on per person. I've flown nothing but SW for the past 20+ years.
After how awful Continental planes transformed when United bought them. I refuse to fly with them ever.
their space is insanely tiny.. and they charge for everything.

Even the worst Mexican carrier (AeroMexico) is offering more space and better deals than them..

Sad, because I used to fly with Continental quite a bit. (almost twice a year to the US)

I love watching tv on the plane! Jet Blue is my favorite!! It's around a 3-hour direct flight Boston to Orlando, and the tv's really help to pass the time. They also have music channels if you just want to listen to music, too. :)

But I understand your predicament--for $1,200 less, you really have no choice here.
Pretty sure you will be able to purchase a nice tablet. fill it with movies/series.. enjoy it on the plane.. and still have more than half money left from the 1,200 USD difference.

There is little to no evidence supporting dangers of aspartame. And even so, as our pal @Goofyernmost likes to remind us, everything that we do is damaging to our bodies. Unless there is some conclusive proof that it will kill me, I'm not going to stop drinking it.

Given my family history, I'd be more concerned about diabetes. This is one reason why I do not drink regular soda unless I'm sick and avoid any drinks other than juice with sugar. I would say that is more of a concern than diet soda, given that it runs on both sides of the family and a great aunt died of it in her 50s. My doctor also says that I have a higher risk based on factors in my blood, so he said he'd rather me drink diet soda.

I used to fly Aerolitoral from San Antonio to Guadalajara when I was a teenager to visit my friend. Small little prop plane with like 9 seats that stopped in Monterrey on the way. I think they call the airline AeroMexico Connect now.
