Thanks for responding to my question. You were the only one here who seemed to care about my question except for Jennifer asking what restaurants we were going to. After that, crickets.
So I thank you for caring enough to not ignore a question I had. I don't have much experience with the dining plan and I trusted everyone's opinion here. Jennifer asked a similar question and got so much information and that's great but I was ignored.
Yes my daughter is going but she is not on our package. So it's just me and my on on the package where I would add the dining plan.
Now I think I'm going to excuse myself from this thread for a couple of days because I'm a little hurt.
Thanks again Moxomund.
I wanted to answer, but I do not have as much experience. I only have been twice at WDW, and only once with the Disney dinning plan.. and in that time.. I ended with 17 points full deluxe table service points left.

I'm also glad that @MOXOMUMD could respond to your DDP inquiry. Let me say that the reason I didn't, was because I've never used the DDP. As MOXOMUMD mentioned, it's probably different for each situation (whether you enjoy full meals and plenty of food, whether you have kids, and other reasons). I travel to WDW alone, and I don't eat much, and don't always stay at a Disney hotel (which is the only way you can get the DDP).

I hope you can understand that no one here (especially me) was ignoring your question. My best guess is that not everyone has experienced using the DDP, and if they didn't have anything helpful to share, they probably thought it was best to not reply. You're very well liked here in the Chat section. Looking forward to your return here after a brief hiatus.
exactly!!!

I have a 4-disc set I bought last trip, and one disc is music from the rides.

21 tracks - my favourites, pretty much in order:
Soarin'
It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
Pirates
It's a Small World
Tiki Room
Splash

I have a large selection of park music on my iTunes. I have 4 different versions of "It's a Small World" alone.
I also highly recommend the Sherman Brothers Songbook 2 disk cd set. It even includes "Meet the World" and "Magic Journeys"

Yep, never heard of motors fallin' outta' cars before, but, I've definitely heard of motor mounts goin' bad and leadin' to all kinds of other unpleasant problems...

maybe this is it. it could damage the transmission and other things if the engine started to "lean".
right now it wobbles hard when I set the 1st gear or reverse. Pushing the entire front around 5 degree angles sideways.

I didn't respond because, as you stated about yourself, I simply don't have much experience with/know enough about it.
Granted, we've done it twice (in the summers of '12 and '13), but I had nothing to do with it other than the 50% CM discount. DWifey did all the planning for those trips, using my CM ID number, and I only got on the phone if it was absolutely necessary. I don't even know what the plan was called, but, we each got a snack, a QS/CS, and a table service per day.
I, generally, tend not to comment on things where I feel my input wouldn't contribute anything of worth.
Ask a question about Disney history, cars, or architecture, and I'm more likely to comment if I feel it's of worth.
I did like your post 'cause I was so happy for y'all.
Sorry I didn't comment on it, and sorry you felt hurt.
that seems to be the standard dinner package.

the deluxe is all table service (3 per day)

That is going to be a fun trip. I've missed so much, did you ever get NYE worked out???
yes..
Going to be in Old Key West DVC.
AND on Doubletree.
I already got the ressies.
next will be the planes, but I was told (as in someone suggested to me )to wait until 6 months out. Because the price fluctuates.
And I will get the park tickets later as well.

I had this happen to me at the dentist. The dental hygienist was about to start cleaning my teeth a couple weeks ago and right when I was about to open my mouth she asked me for my maiden name because I looked familiar. Once she took off her face mask I recognized her but it was an awkward teeth cleaning.
Am I the only weird person who insists on having the same hygienist on every dentist trip?

The only time I didn't have the one I liked was when she was on maternity leave. This other hygienist pressed so hard with the floss that she made my gums bleed. I floss regularly and don't have that happen. Then she said that I had gingivitis. Dentist did not agree. My teeth hurt so badly afterward that I decided that I'm only booking with the same one I've always had until I move to Florida. For procedures I don't care since I'll be sore either way, but for cleanings, I will only book the appointment with the same hygienist who has been cleaning my teeth since I was 6. Yup.

The only one that I would be wary of is Biergarten. If you've been there before and liked it, go for it. But we hated it the one time we were there. There are better Epcot options (Chefs de France would be my choice). I'm also not sure the Fantasmic dinner package is worth it. They tend to have FPs for Fantasmic left over, so you'd be better off using your three and then grabbing a Fantasmic FP. Mama Melrose's also tends to be hit or miss. Can you get into Prime Time? That one tends to be better IMO. Probably best DHS table service.
Second on Prime Time, the food there is great!

:hilarious:

My dog never misses an opportunity to steal socks, mittens and gloves, and mail. Of all those items, I'll never understand his fascination with paper. He'll run off with an envelope and shred it; we'll find bits and pieces of mauled paper all over the place. Oh, that's the other thing; he doesn't complete his ill-begotten deeds in one spot. He likes to spread out his crimes.

Two peas in a pod Walt and Jack. Walt has a fascination for socks but loves gloves too and add in hats, he use to love to steal my sons and chew the brims. He use to steal toilet paper and pull the unwinding roll all over the house until he fell into the toilet one day as a pup, heeheehee. He doesn't take paper but anything cardboard and it is a traveling mess, generally my living room. I'd be packing care packages for my kids and he'd be trying to shred the box flaps as I was packing.

In my History of American Pop Culture class my final paper had to be a biography of a fictional character. I of course wrote a paper on Mickey Mouse.
That sounds like an awesome paper to write.

I've written two Walt Disney papers, one on Disney Parks and Resorts (I was forced to keep it to 20 pages; we easily could have done 40; it was a group thing) and now this one on Frozen. It's so much easier to write a paper when you're interested in the source material and the topic.

I live out in the sticks. I hate where I'm living right now. It's not that I don't like living in a small town. I actually like living in small towns as long as they're not too far from a bigger city, but the town I live in is in the middle of nowhere. It's an hour drive to any decent size city.

I'm a small town gal. We don't even have a grocery store or any retail goods store.

I had a snake that was at the bottom of my driveway that just would not go away (and I didn't want it run over) so I picked up a stick and tossed in into the ditch on the other side of the road. :joyfull:

I was walking Walt last year with my DD and one slithered out of stack of flagstone boarding sidewalk retaining a bush. Scared the  out of me. Don't know who was more startled me, DD or Walt. The he wanted to stick his nose in the Flagstone. Oh Walter. :jawdrop:

Only had one snake in my house ever. That one had the perfect timing to show up the night before my daughters wedding when she had all her brides maids at the house for a sleep over (yea, right) and gab fest. It came in through a basement window that wasn't closed tightly. Fortunately, it stayed in the basement, but, when I went down there to get something out of the freezer, I spotted it. I know that I would have a Sharknado type of situation on my hands if any of the girls saw it.

I didn't have a gun so I grabbed the only faux weapon I had available. It was a square head fireplace shovel used to remove ashes. I came up behind it and proceeded to dice it into a number of small pieces that, comically, each piece, went slithering off in different direction. I then casually (because I'm nothing if not cool) scooped it up and put it in a paper bag and walked it past all the young ladies on the way out to the trash. I told my daughter about it 10 years later.

Bravo! And Ewe.

Yeah, I saw that I had spelled it wrong; but sadly, my post had already been quoted before I caught it.
Usually, when I am unsure how to spell a word, I Google it. In this case, it never occurred to me to check it, as I thought it really did have an "s".

I did Google it after the fact to see if it was one of those flavor/flavour things. It's not. I goofed.

Just teasin', I was...

My DWifey absolutely hates snakes. I never tell her when I see one out in the yard 'cause she's absolutely convinced that it'll somehow find it's way into the house. I've accidentally run more than one over with my lawn mower over the years. I never tell her about that either, 'cause even though it's dead, well, there was a snake in the yard... ;) :)

Good Man!
