I know here they can't put the baby in a Kings Cake because it's a choking hazard.I will never understand these weird rules and laws.
I remember that "Kinder surprise" chocolate eggs are also banned.

Yeah, my two little doggies run outside and run back inside pretty quick. This morning they were doing their business and they had a hard time getting back in their poor little paws froze. I had my shoes on though and I was ready to carry them back in but they made it. They were outside just a short time too, I was waiting by the door ready to let them in as soon as they were ready, I didn't want them outside for long.
Good Lord, man! They didn't even come stock with the 454 big block...!![]()
That oughta' get ya' about 3 gal. to the mile.
I always liked how Pontiac, Buick, and Olds offered a 455 big block... "It's one bigger!"![]()
Ah, yes. The ol' 307 small block mated to the turbo-hydramatic 350. A quadrajet would actually get better mileage if ya' kept your foot outta' it. Yea, like that would happen.![]()

Had a buddy that had a '68 Camaro with a 327 and a powerglide.
Him and another buddy of mine (others of us helped on the project, but, had no money invested) also dropped a 327 into a '75 Vega. That thing was insane...!!!![]()
Need pics when she's all finished, please!![]()
I hated the school bus. Could not wait to get my license and get off that thing. For one, the middle and high schoolers shared a bus. The middle schoolers usually sat in the front of the bus and the high schoolers in the back. When I was in middle school, the high schoolers were horrible, and the driver would flip flop so that she could better keep an eye on the high schoolers. When I got to high school, all of us who had been the good middle schoolers were now the good high schoolers, and the middle schoolers were horribly behaved. And if our regular driver wasn't there, all h**l broke loose.
There was one time sophomore year of high school where the driver wasn't there. The middle schoolers were horrible that morning. Hanging out the windows, making a ton of noise, standing in the aisles...ugh. And then when it was time for the high schoolers to get off the bus, they were still in the aisles. One kid starts doing what looked like an Irish jig in the aisle. I came up to him and said, "Get. Out. Of. My. Way." That kid moved pretty quickly and the rest of them cleared. Too early for all of that.
I was very glad to get my car and get off the bus. I will say this: even though I didn't like that bus driver when I was in middle school and the feeling was pretty mutual then, by the time I got to high school, I grew to respect her a lot. Those kids were horrible, and she had control of them. She was also an excellent driver. There was one time where we should have gone late to school and didn't, and we got stuck on ice trying to go up a hill. She got that bus safely turned around and to school. And she seemed to like me better in high school.
Yes, the paws on dogs can easily freeze up in unusually cold weather; it's good that you watched them outside to make sure they could get back in the house safely. By the way, what kind of doggies do you have?Mine is a chow/lab mix, and weighs about 57 pounds.
Lots of luck on that!Guess who has an interview with Disney next week. I know it would be hard work, a little stressful according to
@donaldtoo but it would be a fantastic opportunity. The girl who answered the phone told me to "have a magical experience with Disney shopping."
I have miniature schnauzers, they weigh about 18-20 pounds. A week ago I had 3 mini schnauzers, but sadly one passed away due to a kidney disease he'd had since he was a puppy. He was 8 years old, we were really lucky we had him as long as we did. All my doggies do have boots that they can wear outside, but they HATE wearing them. I only use the boots if we are going for a walk or on a long drive (in case we break down). It is funny to see them walk in their boots, they don't quite know if they should step down our not and tend to do some high steppin'!
Also, finally got the confirmation of my tickets!
Already synced them with my magic account.
WOOHOOO!.
All set!
First of all, my condolences to you about the loss of your 8-year-old mini schnauzer. I'm glad that you have two others, and they must give you some comfort during the grieving process.
With regard to the two other mini schnauzers, I well understand how they dislike the snow/ice booties. My previous dog (a shepherd/lab/border collie mix), had a fit if we put the booties on her paws. She despised them and would walk around doing everything she could to shake them off, including trying to bite them off! We finally gave up on them, but it was too bad because they would have protected her paws from the ice and the salt used on the roads around here in winter. It's too bad we can't "reason" with dogs!![]()
We did not have school buses and in elementary school we had to go home for lunch. I was a mile from the elementary school 1 1/2 miles to the high school. My Mom did not drive when I was little. I think maybe in middle school she went to driving school and got a licence.
My kids were bused to Elementary, Middle and high school. They only walked to Primary School and walk we did.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only person who makes the bed (picture perfect, I might add) everyday.I wholeheartedly agree!!![]()
Oh brrrrrrr ... like I'm not already cold enough.
Ditto.Wow. Your experience was the opposite of mine. I have no explanation for this, except to say that the kids on my bus just rode the bus to and from school. Some of the kids talked with one another, and others were quiet or just watched the scenery go by. I don't recall any incidents at all.
I didn't realize you were fluent in a foreign language, mixed in with a little English here and there.![]()
Thanks, it is a change for all of us but they are comforting. They snuggle me a little more closely.
I wish we could "reason" with dogs then mine could also understand that their toys would last longer if they didn't rip them apart. My girl dog is nicknamed "serial killer" because she destroys most of her toys in a very short time after she gets them. The "tough" dog toys don't deter her at all, she once destroyed on in less than 5 minutes!
