36 degrees, right now. Predicted low of 23, overnight.
That's just a hair south of TSSFFBR weather. ;) :)
Coldest day of the season so far here.
With windchill, it was -29C, which is approx. -20F.
I was out numerous times today for brief periods, and my cheeks and ears are bright, burning red.

A lot of the schools wisely cancelled outdoor recess and lunch periods today.

Dear me. Only one thing left to do... :(
Find a new favourite tea mug..!!! :joyfull: ;) :)
It was one of a set of four.
The green one, my least favourite, broke a year or so ago, while SIL was using it.
Now, my favourite blue one has bit the dust.

That leaves yellow (meh) and red ... my new favourite.

Aha ha, I just noticed the "favourite" in bold. Funny boy!

Thanks, it is a change for all of us but they are comforting. They snuggle me a little more closely.

I wish we could "reason" with dogs then mine could also understand that their toys would last longer if they didn't rip them apart. My girl dog is nicknamed "serial killer" because she destroys most of her toys in a very short time after she gets them. The "tough" dog toys don't deter her at all, she once destroyed on in less than 5 minutes!
what if the "serial destroyer" actually thinks all toys you give her are for destroying? and thus she happily obligues? XD

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only person who makes the bed (picture perfect, I might add) everyday.

Don't leave me hanging; someone else must do it too.
I use a technique actually.. leave the bed done.. but just use a heavy blanket on top.
remove the blanket.. the bed is done!

POFFF!!!

I took dance for six years. I think the makeup needed for recitals traumatized me because when I was about 10 or so, people would say, "Oh, soon, you'll be wanting to wear makeup..." and I would stop them there and say "Nope." And it's taken me until age 19 to willingly wear makeup on a daily basis.

I flat iron my hair when I'm at home, even if I have no place to go. Mostly because I can flat iron it and keep it that way for 2-3 days, and it's out of my way. Definitely takes me longer to do that, but it's well worth it being out of my way.

Prepare for teenage logic: I don't make my bed on a daily basis because I don't see the sense in it when I'm going to be getting back in it 15 hours later. It gets made when I put new sheets on it or if we're expecting company.

Yeah, I wasn't big on making my bed either. Got over that when I was in my own house. Don't know why.

My hair is long, very thick and wavy. It gets flat ironed or I'd look like Cousin It.

Most of my friends have my logic. Even the ones who are no longer teenagers. Which will be me in three months, and my logic will still be the same.

My mom used to battle with me about it, but gave up a long time ago and will now settle for the room just being somewhat neat.

And no, I am not surprised that an unmade bed on a daily basis would give you a stroke. ;)

My DD had a Little Tykes Bed (crib matress) with a Barney comforter. She made that bed when she was 2 every morning. She loved it.

DS, it was a battle. And as he aged I had a reality check. Close door and I won't have to see it. I had him clean the room if we were having a party or something with notice and make the bed. When he would go off to college I'd clean the room, change the bed, make the bed and repeat many times over the day after he would return to college. When he went off to the Disney College Program in 2007 I gutted the room, great year nothing out of place. lol.
