I like to go to Florida in summer for the weather

We try to avoid the parks in summer unless something is happening that we can’t do any other time of year. For example the 4th of July fireworks.

95 is a good time to walk from MGM to EPCOT, walk around EPCOT , then back to MGM

I have done that walk, and that's going to be a nope, I'll take the Skyliner.

You think that’s bad. try walking around Epcot when it’s 90 degrees outside in summer.

DHS in 98 with a real feel of 103 was fun. Did that back in June, and then did Epcot to AK a few days later.

I'm booked for August, but at Beach Club, where I intend to spend most of my time in the lazy river with my Kindle.

Never did that because I like using boat transportation instead. I don't like adding extra miles to feet if I don't have to.

Skyliner is definitely faster than the boat. I LOVE the Skyliner.

It’s also a good time to die of heatstroke.

Theme parks in the summer are no joke. When we visited First Aid at DHS years ago the beds in the back room were all occupied with fellow guests all lying down recovering from heat exhaustion.

You may be cringing, but there are people here who have known me from on here since I was 17 in spite of the cringe worthy stuff I said back then and obviously who haven't held it against me. So don't sweat it; people here are very nice.

And the ones who do aren't worth your time.

You're welcome.

And I can admit I was sometimes an idiot (well, I still can be, but I have the maturity now to think three or four or ten times before hitting post, in addition to more self awareness) because you're not always mature when you're a teenager. And that's fine; you shouldn't be expected to have adult maturity at 17.

But there were some adults here who weren't nice about it and some who were outright bullies. A lot of those ones aren't here for various reasons, but now looking back, I realize that their behavior wasn't right, especially when they knew how young I was. The ones who are still here I don't engage with any more. So...if some people are being extra mean, just let it roll off your back. And don't go out of your way trying to make friends with people who aren't that nice.

By that same token, you'll notice who I engage with on this thread; they are generally safe people. If they ever say something to you about one of your posts, it'll generally be very kind. Just take it to heart, own that maybe you shouldn't say the thing you said, and move on knowing that person isn't holding it against you.
