I don't even know where the Spain came from. I went my whole life thinking "Oh, I just love Spanish food and culture and speak the language, but I'm not Spanish." Um, surprise! It came from someplace, but where is a good question.

Turmeric is quickly replacing artificial dyes in the US due to customer demand and is the most common dye in the EU as many dyes are banned there

I'm allergic to at least one dye that I know of so I fully support this.

And they put it in thyroid medication of all things...

You'd be surprised at the number of additives in medications The worst one for us was gluten in something for stomach problems

They added lactose to an asthma medication I used to take...

Apparently with the thyroid meds, it's so they can tell the differences between the doses. But it creates a problem if you're allergic to it... thankfully the dose I'm currently on is a beige pill. But if I change dosages, they have to keep me on the same pill, but change how many pills per week I take.

And yes, there is a brand that exists without additives, but for some reason, I don't absorb it very well.
