Sorry for the slow response, it has been a busy day. I have looked into it but we haven't stayed there. It is too far away from the main gate of DL & DCA for me. It doesn't have a shuttle but people have told me that they have used the Toy Story parking shuttle for transport. We just stayed at the Candy Cane and that was nice, there are some decent rates for that hotel and it is right at the end of my walking limit. It only took about 7-10 minutes of walking to get to DL & DCA. We stayed at the CC because it was only about a 5 minute walk to the entrance for the Convention Center (for Expo) and the Hilton is behind that so maybe another 5 minutes. We are working on collecting our Hilton points for Japan but it is never worth the extra of getting the Toy Story shuttle or more walking to stay there.
Thanks. I'm still thinking of doing it even if I have to grab an Uber. It's only two nights; we'll be at GC the rest of the time. I'll keep the alternatives in mind.

Nope. We postponed ‘til later in Oct., after our Southern Caribbean cruise. Although, I still took today off with vacation days piling up, but, I’ll be back to the office tomorrow morning.
We postponed even before our flights were officially cancelled.
We rescheduled for Tues., Oct. 29, as our flights were the exact same price.
We’ll be needing to head to the airport about the time MNSSHP is beginning anyway...!!! :)

Thanks for asking...!!! :)

Glad you postponed, and that was a good decision on behalf of your family. The hurricane could have been much worse in central FL, and thank goodness, it isn't as bad as initally thought. Better safe than sorry.

Now I can look forward to your late October fun getaway! :)

It is the first day of school for my DD. Her senior year. Normally I would drive her to school....but her boyfriend asked if he could have the honor of driving her this morning. I agreed.
So here I am in my favorite chair posting w/ you nice folks.
It feels weird to tell you the truth. ( btw...I'll probably report to my teaching job today a little after 8am ).
Anyway, back to the DD growin' more mature topic....Next year when DD is in a different state and attending college it will feel even weirder! o_O

We are expecting our first in February 2020 and woof... trying to figure out a way for my wife to extend her maternity leave / daycare and it’s more than my mortgage! Killing me. Disney isn’t looking pretty with this pending change!

It's a tough transition. Daycare has always been more expensive than my mortgage. That doesn't really let up until they're old enough for latch key programs at the Y, although you do usually get a price break when they potty train.

My daughter is a Feb birthday! Congratulations on your first! Don't let the math scare you though. There's always tax returns for Disney!!

Good luck to your dd this year. It is hard to watch a part of your life change. When you have kids you think they will be around forever, but one day they are gone. Enjoy this last year of her being around the house most of the time. Is she going to school in PA? Also, good luck with your new kids this year. I expect you will have fun since you really love your job.

And they don’t cost anything until they turn 3.

All thing are relative, I know, but when my kids were babies through school years it cost $30.00 per week for two of them. I remember having heart failure when they raised it to $35.00 per week.
