I am always on the lookout now. I got it 4 years ago I think cleaning weeds in our yard. I had never come across it before. Luckily it was just on my arms and a couple of spots on my legs. Then dh who said he was immune to it got it the next year. We are both very wary now.

I think it was about 10 year ago when a family member had a reaction to poison ivy. Actually had to get put on some sort of steriod medication for a few months, for it to completely go away. That's the thing -- it affect people differently -- and for some people, it's way more of an extended problem, than for others.

Mine cleared completely after 6 weeks. I had a bad reaction to the prednisone they gave me though. Had to let it run its course. Dh still says he still gets itchy spots on his knees where he had it. Horrible stuff. We do have this soap now that we use any time after we weed. It removes poison ivy sap or whatever it is off the skin. If you use it within an hour of exposure you are good.

Maybe a little of both. You know, they could just re-release the originals in theaters. Bet you people would pay to see them on the big screen again.
By me, they do. Bargain Wednesday movie. Young people might not want to see that old eighties stuff, with people they never heard of. As I type this, DD is talking about a girl who asked if Beetlejuice was that movie about the Beatles.
