Yep, they have your sister surrounded. The first was in 1974 and the second was 1976. She was a bi-centennial baby and was presented to us with a red, white and blue banner pinned to her diaper.
My parents first dated in the year your first daughter was born. They knew each other the year prior, but did not date.

1976 to me known for it being our countries 200th year, but it also was the year the Grandma that I did not know died.

The Red, white, and Blue banned pinned to your daughter's diaper is neat.

While my younger brother was not a bi-centennial baby, he had a chance to be recognized if my mom went full term with him.

My younger brother was supposed to be New Years day baby and it sounded like my parents would get some extra stuff as a result including free diapers. The problem was it didn't happen for my parents because my younger brother was born 2 and half weeks early.

My dad decided to take my mom for fishfry, but my mom felt something not normal on one the steps at the place they went and my mom gave birth a couple days later weekend instead of January 1st as a result with my parents not getting any extra stuff.

The was 2 things get out of my younger brother getting born early was my mom did not need a c-section and the 2nd thing was slightly better time for birthday party back when he was a kid. My younger brother was 7 pounds and 3 ounces despite being born 2 and half weeks early.

Please send some good thoughts to T. The pitching mound is moved back 6 feet next year.. so, he’ll be throwing that distance in tryouts this weekend.

I haven’t had much (any prior to today) time to work with him, and unfortunately his trainer has been out of town for two weeks, with T out of town prior to that.

We practiced a little bit this morning, T had a few great pitches, and a quite a few bad ones. Getting over the plate isn’t the problem.. BUT, if a batter would have been there I’m really hoping that he would have had fast reflexes. 😬. I don’t know why but with the extra distance he’s somehow pitching inside more often than not., inside and shoulder to head height, fast and hard. Hopefully he can straighten it out. I may ask on Facebook if anyone has a high school pitcher who would work with him tonight or tomorrow morning.
I can't help out for pitching in softball in terms of tips and I doubt my mom could. To my knowledge, she was an outfielder.

The grade School I was in had a softball league during recess. I was not a pitcher and I had bad reflexes. I was very bad timing for hitting a softball. They had me in the outfield/ short stop since it the other hitters can't hit to far to me in the air. My job was to grab the rolling softball and prevent home runs.

It sounded liked my mom was the more talented softball player. My mom was the one picked last due to her being short and skinny and assumed she was not strong. The catch is my mom was very strong due to her pumping water at home. My mom made a game winning home run and a game winning catch barehanded.

One thing I'd like to say...

One of the main reasons I love Zootopia so much is because I met my only five friends because of the film. I was at MK to see Judy and Nick during Move It Shake It, and across the road I see two fellow big Zootopia fans. I went over to them and chatted with them about the film, and we all danced with Judy and Nick. We kept running into each other at the parks throughout the months.

Then in November, I went to the Christmas Party for the Judy and Nick M&G, and they were there, along with their fellow three friends who were also big Zootopia fans. We all hung out, took photos with Judy and Nick, and exchanged numbers. Now I hang out with them every weekend at Disney, and they are an amazing group of people. Without Zootopia, I never would've met them.

My mom...

She had lunch with one of her friends today. I used to be friends with said friend's daughter in high school, but broke it off because...ugh. Anyway, her daughter stayed in college for a semester, dropped out, moved out of the house to get away from her parents, and works at a gym.

So my mom was asking her friend about her daughter. Her friend told her she was going to take her daughter shopping for workout clothes the next day. Not just to help her look, but to buy them for her. She asked my mom if she ever does anything like that for me. My mom: "No, my daughter makes enough money that she doesn't need me to buy her clothes."

Gee, much of a filter there, Mom? 😂😂😂

I am right there with you.

Our current weather...

‘Posed to get up to 102 tomorrow, with a heat index of 110... :cyclops:
Our, almost, typically scorching summer finally shows up in darn near the middle of August...?!!! :bored:
To me anyway, summer hasn’t officially even happened ‘til it hits at least a static temp of 105...so, still no summer for us yet this year...!!!!! :hilarious:

I haven't really watched the news since Walter Cronkite retired. Uncle Walt had a way of telling you that the back of your house was on fire and if you make a run for it out the front door there was a large contingent of interplanetary aliens waiting to take you back to their home planet for the purpose of inserting many probes into you and for some reason it felt that everything was going to end up fine. And that's the way it is!

Part of the problem now is that there are so many conflicting reports and no one that is sitting there as a trusted spokesman that we no longer know who to believe. That doesn't make for a comforting feeling. Someday I hope to be as tough as @MinnieM123 ! 😱

No comment on the other stuff, but, definitely old enough to remember Walter Cronkite’s newscasts. A trusted icon indeed, but, he was also human, too...as far as we know... :cyclops:;)
I also know that he graduated from The University of Texas, and always had an affinity for Austin, and Texas, in general...sooo, he may not have been all that perfect after all...!!! :D;)

I’ve always loved this bit from the Marx Brothers movie “Duck Soup”...!!!!! :hilarious:

  • Secretary of Labor : The Department of Labor wishes to note that the workers of Freedonia are demanding shorter hours.
Rufus T. Firefly : Very well, we'll give them shorter hours. We'll start by cutting their lunch hour to 20 minutes.
I liked that movie my self. The mirror scene is one of my favorites.

Wow, amazing stuff from your mom! 💪

He's always been relaxed about me being in WDW by myself. Even when my brother and I were first going around the parks by ourselves, my mom was the nervous one. He was fine with it. Then the trip when I was 18 with a friend was his idea.

The most nervous he got was the California trip; he was a mess. When I went to South Carolina with my grandma, he felt better hat she wasn't alone. I've flown back and forth to Orlando and Hawaii now. He's pretty good about it.

This trip he actually said he expected I'd extend it and stay longer, and he offered for my brother to stay with me. My brother said no, but it's kind of funny that he even was okay with that.

Awe, Dad is growing up too! :geek:
