Some random driving pictures. We ended up upgrading our aviary tickets to an annual pass since it only cost $17 to do that. We will definitely be back to that area. Dh really wants to see a game their now. A preseason since it would be cheaper.View attachment 393784View attachment 393785View attachment 393786View attachment 393787
We ate a a Blaze Pizza on the way home. Made it home in 2.5 hours so not too bad considering it took us 3 to get there.

Again, great stuff...!!! :)
And, ohhh the wind farms...tons of those as we get closer to the Texas Coast on the way down there...!!!

I hope you had little traffic.
There was traffic everywhere thanks to expanding the highway.
I think from Katy, TX to Johnson Space.. it took us.. almost 2 hours.
and almost 3 going back.

We left the aviary at about 4. Heinz Field was basically 2 minutes from the aviary by car so we decided to drive there, park, and get a picture. We had no idea that the area would end up being so “cool”. We parked, got out and walked. There is a river walk right by the stadium called Green Rivers Park. It was such a picturesque place. There were so many people on boats on the river(s). Three rivers meet exactly where Heinz Field (Allegheny, Ohio, and Monongahela). There were house boats docked, people on motor boats, some were swimming by their boats. The stadium the Pirates play at is also along the walk. He headed up that way and noticed there was a festival called Picklesburgh going on along a bridge.

The floating tiki bar was funny.

Sorry to get you in a frenzy, but, I don't recall mentioning you by name in my post. And since I am male and complaining about it apparently I do not do that either. After living in a household consisting of nothing but females (including the cat) even after living by myself for two decades still puts the seat back down after I use the bathroom. (sad) I am close to 20 years older then you and have seen a lot more restrooms (more as one gets older) then you have. And I am speaking generally not specifically. I will bet you anything that more often then not you will come across an un-flushed toilet in those places. Useless paper seat covers, like anyone has caught some major illness through the cheeks of their butts, half in the water and half stuck to the seat. I don't frequent ladiesrooms so I am not speaking for them. It isn't just myself that is experiencing this, it is every male that uses one. I am not the only one that gets to walk in after irresponsible self-involved jerks use them and leaves behind a mess for others to deal with. It, in recent years, has become almost pandemic. Your experiences also don't necessarily reflect the experiences of others either. Either you have been lucky or unobservant because it is there everywhere. Enough so that I expect it instead of being surprised by it.

OK, morning vent over!

These kind of articles were so helpful back before the Internet forums when my family was very young. I bought two Disney type Books annually. Birnbaums for the fluff and the UnOfficial Guide to WDW. The second gave more useful tips of where to go and where not to go.

I see they brought Kinley back? That was my favorite! I hadn’t seen it in years.

The “like” is for your Kinley coming back, which, sorry, but, I just don’t remember... :cyclops:
actually, I don’t remember any of them, except my beloved Beverly...no joke, I used to down several shots while there, and take a couple “for the road” as we walked out.
Can’t explain why, but, I just loooooves the stuff...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hungry:
And now, it appears to be gone forever from WDW...?!:(

Hopefully he feels better!! I'm celebrating my birthday tomorrow too, because A will be off with her dad and his girlfriend and her kid on my actual birthday. When you're older though, birthdays are just like any other holiday: it doesn't really matter when you have them. I looked for Harry Potter events (we share a birthday) because I wouldn't have the kid but this year is the one year they don't have any in my area.
Awe. A great Birthday celebration you’ll have I bet.

Just had a taco for breakfast. It was delicious.

While I love a big breakfast at restaurants it isn't likely to happen in my home. It could, it just doesn't. Me I could easily eat leftover meatloaf for breakfast over an Eggo I'm not really big on cereals or other quicker versions of breakfast. I'd eat a half of a ham sandwich instead.
