The grass is cooling. Concrete and asphalt not so much.

Reminder: Do a surface test before you walk your Pup in these very hot days. Don't be burning those puppies foot pads. Just because they will walk on hot coals for you doesn't mean we should. Grass is cool always to a Pups pads.

Oh when she goes for a walk it's only around the block. She does most of her running around in the yard.

Nothing. I just don't want to try their "sup" whatever the heck that is.🤢

When I was in high school I went on an exchange program for 3 weeks to Paris. I stayed with this family that was told Americans put ketchup on everything, so they went out and bought a bottle just for me. They were flabbergasted when I didn't want to put it on my corn flakes or my chocolate cake :hilarious::hilarious:

Okay.... I'm thinking about switching our annual visits to January instead of September. It's still a low crowd time and we can still stay in SoG. But I cannot swing a week at Disney in September this year and then another week in January in 2020. I was thinking about taking a quick four day in April/May 2020 and staying in a regular Disney hotel with some bells and whistles, and then taking a week long trip in January 2021 with APs again that will last until Jan 2022.

For a quick four day, where would you stay? She loves AoA, Pop is also an option (both will have the skyliner which is attractive). Maybe Riverside? I HAAAAATE going to Disney Springs so the boat over there isn't really a "plus" but it's pretty.

I'd go with pop or art depending on price. FQ is nice but maybe not worth spending e,tra on besides you're not going to spend time in D Springs

POP is less expensive, but she'll definitely like AoA more and does ask all the time to go back to AoA. the Big Blue Pool is starting a refurb this fall, but I cannot find out how long that is expected to take

I veto this because it means we don't get to meet!

eta: that is if you are saying you are changing the sept trip to April/May for this year.

No this year we're still going September 15-21.

We get APs and go a week one year, then a week earlier the next year, to save on ticket costs. Right now we always do September because it worked out for the first trip, and then because SOG has a veteran special where you don't have to be active duty to stay. They also run this special in January. So to be able to afford a week in Disney every year, I need to go in either January or September.

oh whew ok... then if you want to ride the skyliner I would suggest POP or AOA... however, I noticed the rates on POP kinda skyrocketing lately... so if you want to save a little money... All-Star Movies is almost completely refurbished now.

Thanks to you and Figgy for the suggestion. I did look it up last night and they don't carry everything I want (of course -- most of them don't!!). I'm a news junkie and there's 1 or 2 channels that aren't on it. (Note: I don't watch premium sports channels or movies, etc. (I do like dumb stuff like "E" though . . . :p )

Meanwhile, I also looked at a few other companies and maybe one of them "might" work out -- but it's not all that cheap, although cheaper than what we're paying now. (Example: one of the companies said you needed a Roku thingie, but a good option was that there were no contracts -- a month by month decision.) Eventually, I'll ask hubs (he's the tech guy to begin with) what might be some reasonable options--we don't need to do this immediately, but it's definitely on the "to do" list. He can also weigh in on the quality of streaming on a regular TV, versus satellite TV reception, which is what we have now.

I’m currently watching dumb MTV stuff. 😂
Well, one show anyway. The Hills reboot.

Anyone else slumming with me? ;)

Funny store about The Hills.. I had surgery once prior to my marriage...sig other was out of the country for a month so obviously couldn’t come stay with me. My best friend, another girlfriend, and 2 other close guy friends took turns checking on me, bringing milkshakes and smoothies, and taking my dog out. I had to sleep sitting up so I camped out on the first floor in my living room in an oversized chair. Anyway, one of the early visits ended with 1 of the girls leaving my tv on MTV (not sure why lol).. and the remote was across the room.. I couldn’t get to it.
A Hills marathon was on, This was their first season. I was zoning in and out of sleep watching it. Ended up enjoying the show, later on went back and watched Laguna Beach. That show and The Hills are what got me thru the pain. 😂 ended up watching the next seasons willingly.
