Most of you probably have CENTRAL AIR , but I have the unit I showed just moments ago. We have no vents or ductwork....we have hot water baseboard for heat so we rely on that unit for cooling. Anyone else on this thread have a wall mounted AC remote unit?

I do! I do! We have a window unit AC in the bedroom, and a window unit AC in the livingroom downstairs. I never wanted central, because I was afraid it would jack up the electric bill too much. With the 2 units, we can turn off one or both (if not needed in cooler temps). Works for us. We also have fans that we use, if it isn't really hot or humid.

(Actually I think what you have is a bit different from ours -- looks like you have some sort of wall thermostat control. We don't have that, but each AC has a little remote control that we can use, if we want.)

It's supposed to be in the 90's today, hot and humid. But that's fine, I'll just remember all the subzero temps and piles of snow we had this past winter and enjoy the heat. My dog is having a little bit of a difficult time with the heat though the last few days. She wants to be on the porch or outside but then starts panting really hard so I have to take her inside to cool off. And she really wants to be outside, I have had to carry her inside a couple times because she doesn't want to be inside!

Weather is getting hotter here, too. Jack is already slowing down after his walk. He comes in panting like he's out of breath. :( Hubs is shortening the route a bit to shorten the time outside with him, during the hotter/humid days of summer.

Okay let's add a new hairdryer to that list since my five year old one seems to be going kaput. Found it on a deal. $20. Not bad.

And then Back to the Future on blue ray.
And Dumbo on Blue Ray.
And a monitor/keyboard set for my desk.
And a docking station for my desk.

Yeah...I feel personally victimized by this Prime Day.
I still haven't bought anything:D

It's a small town so they're supposed to return found items the next day as they don't have much else to do and there's a branch next to the police station. I'd much rather it be with the police than left at the bank

Absolutely! And the person who lost/misplaced the card may not even realize that it's gone, unless the person happened to be looking for it, and realized it was missing. That can happen. You did the right thing. And whatever bank issued the card should be visible on the card somewhere -- so the cops could notify that bank and they could track down the owner.
