What would make it better is if the winner donated it to Make a Wish or Give Kids the World.Thank God it went to charity!!! $75,000??!!! Wondering if a "company" paid that money -- not too many individuals have that amount of disposable income.
They weren't standard equipment in any car. They came as add on's. I never bought a big rig so I don't know if they were offered as an extra or not. All you had to do was wire them directly to get electricity to them or do like I did and just use a plug into the cigarette lighter. Then you put an antenna somewhere outside on the vehicle. That was easily done by cracking a window just a little and running the antenna cable outside where you could have it directly connected to the car or have an antenna with a huge magnet on the bottom, which held the antenna firmly in place. It did however make a very tempting item for people who wanted one and didn't want to buy one. So whenever you left the car for any length of time you just took it off the roof and put it inside. The really weren't any bigger then a standard car radio and could be mounted under the dash or what I did. I took some 1X1 strips of wood and made a removable bracket that went between the bucket seats on the van or the middle drive shaft hump on the car floor.Gotta say, I'm jealous of you and @Goofyernmost and @Rista1313 because you all had experience with CB radios. I've never used those (they're not exactly standard equipment in little fart cars I've had, like the '97 Ford Escort and the '07Chevy Aveo ), but those CBs sure sound like so much fun!!
Wait until you get my age.. You get bombarded with nursing home, hearing aid, funeral homes and the one I love the best... stair lift ads.I try not to use google.
Good to know. Since the only one of those listed that I ever use... however, seldom, is the Sports Drink. Based on that chart I can, without guilt, head on out to Krispy Kreme and pick up a dozen of so chocolate frosted for lunch.
I have strange dreams due to taking my inhaler and allergy meds before bed.My brain on migraine medication.
Had a dream I was sitting in the Japan pavilion. The drums outside were playing. Then suddenly the drums turned into the beginning of "Prince Ali" from the new Aladdin movie. Then Will Smith came out and started performing the song. Then he signed autographs afterward.
This may rank as one of my most bizarre Disney dreams.
Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing photos of these beautiful places!Chinese Temple)

On the bright side, you get a Disney ticket discount for working there.Work is making my head spin today.
My sleep issue is if I stay up late, like 11 (which rarely happens anymore), and I don't need to get up early, I will still get up by the crack of dawn.I have a question! Why is it that any morning that you don't have to get up you wake up early and then if you set an alarm you feel like you could have slept another 5 or 6 hours past the time you had to get up? This has been a question from a professionally idle retiree.
I could have been the one to have posted that. I try not to go to bed before 11pm. I am awake at 4:30, 5 or 5:30. Try as I might I can't go back to sleep again. Today my Grandson had asked me to play golf with him today. I like to get up early and get out there before the heat and humidity sets in for the day. I set my alarm (as a precaution) for 5:30am and the alarm woke me up. Then I sat there on the edge of the bed for 5 more minutes with my head bobbing up and down as I tried to wake up. I wanted so bad to just lie back down.My sleep issue is if I stay up late, like 11 (which rarely happens anymore), and I don't need to get up early, I will still get up by the crack of dawn.
It is so great that your grandson enjoys spending time with you.I could have been the one to have posted that. I try not to go to bed before 11pm. I am awake at 4:30, 5 or 5:30. Thank you! They come back every year. I planted them several years ago with seeds. I love the colors. Those are soooo pretty!
I took to my planting bed behind the house today. It was full of weeds and I couldn't take it anymore. Our landscape guy who does our lawn was supposed to have gotten his guys to weed and mulch it but it has been a couple of months. I was done looking at the invasive weeds so I took out the weed wacker and went on a weed destroying rampage. Next step is to put the landscaper cloth on top of it. Technically this will save me labor because he would just have to mulch. So I could complain, but I won't.
I do the same thing sometimes.I have a question! Why is it that any morning that you don't have to get up you wake up early and then if you set an alarm you feel like you could have slept another 5 or 6 hours past the time you had to get up? We go to bed at 11. Dh has to get up at 6 a.m. to be at work by 7. I get up whenever I wake up, usually between 7:30 and 8.My sleep issue is if I stay up late, like 11 (which rarely happens anymore), and I don't need to get up early, I will still get up by the crack of dawn.
