Waxing a little philosophical this morning and wondering if when he wrote the words to 'When I'm Sixty Four', consisting of "We can rent a cottage in the Isle of White, if it's not two deer" those were the two deer that Paul McCartney was talking about? Someone told me that I was confused because of the silly way the British say things. I suppose that could be true. 🥴;)

Offer 35% more than she was offered by the last department. He liked her, she knew several months ago and he asked better questions.

She is so torn. Grad school in computer science is coveted but it is also grueling and she won’t finish until December. Changing now could buy a home and two cars beyond the good salary she currently earns. Ugh Choices.

So she'd finish in 6 months if she stayed in grad school? or do you mean December next year? If they want her that badly, why aren't they willing to wait, or work out some plan for her to finish while she's working?

That's tough, but good for her. Is there any way she could take the job and finish grad school?

DS fell during recess and skinned up his knee and his elbow. He fell last week once and had his shin all scratched up, but it didn't bleed at all. Today, he completely freaked out because there was blood. Poor kid. I had to call dh to come rescue us because he screamed bloody murder on his bike. It's not that bad, but he's terrified of the blood and thinks if it's bleeding that means it's really bad. I tried to explain that blood cleans out all the dirt and bacteria, and stimulates new skin cell growth, so it's actually good, but he wasn't having it. So DH had to drive all the way from Duiven to come get him, and I biked home, and then DH went back to work. TGIF....though I still have to work tonight.
