One hour is not too bad at the dealership. The rest of your morning sounded pretty nice.

Yeah, can't complain later we walked down and got ice cream (man that was a hot walk) then I took a nap for a bit... It's a rough life. But I'll pay for my laziness today... tomorrow morning is Costco, petfood store, laundry, and grocery shopping.

Got back at about 9:30p from the annual “Splash Bash” for the pediatric cancer foundation nonprofit that both DDs are on the BOD of.
It was, again, a great success and a great time was had by all...!!! :)
Many of these kiddos and their families show up, but, for obvious reasons (in the hospital, currently undergoing treatments, etc.) many, unfortunately, cannot.
Of course, the vast majority that come are either in remission, or have been cancer free for a while.
There was one little girl there that was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 3.
She is now almost 9 and has been cancer free for over 2 years. She very much loves babies, and wants to be a NICU nurse. She spent a good deal of time hangin’ out with our dear lil’ Emy...!!!!!:)
It’s just so reassuring, and hopeful, to see how so many of these kiddos have survived and are now in their late childhood, early teens, and even late teens now, when they were diagnosed so young.
Our DDs just feel very fortunate that they didn’t have to go through what these kiddos have during their childhood, and just want to do what they can to contribute, and to try and ease what these kiddos and their families are going through.
The hardest part, of course, for everyone on the foundation is when a child does not make it. It is heartbreaking, but, they continue because they know they are helping to make a difference, as they have been told so by the many families and kiddos that they help, that they are, indeed, making a difference.

Anyway, some pics, and I know y’all know that our dear lil’ swimmy Emy’s up first...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious::inlove::happy:

We no longer have the right to stand in judgement or to point out the faults of other nations because we are now the people that the world is looking down at. We have allowed ourselves to become the laughing stock of the world. There is no end to the anger that causes me.

Nailed it.

We are reality TV these days to the World.

I see The dementia I saw in my Dad early on. Now again with my Mom. The rewriting of basic facts and truths. Not being able to identify with past or present facts. The temper that is not controlled. The I’m always right and world is wrong. It is all right there.

While I don’t disagree it is a political nightmare I believe the natural disease tendencies are now that of an aging mind with a disease that is cruel. The world sees it. They’ve said it. I think we are collectively at a loss what to do about it. Dementia in a family is rough. Recognizing the pattern in a world leader and having a defined way to address it isn’t there. It is rampant evidenced in the morning tweets and ever changing reality. Nobody seems to know what to do with the outbursts. The new by the minute proplicmations. It is a sad situation

Like I said this romantic Korea love affair would have killed my Dad He took pride in his service.

I have the gray Mickey shirt!!😉
The grey one is not a shirt...those are the PJ shorts. They go with the white top. So cute! I can't always wear the tops from Primark, because some of them run a bit small. The pink shirt was from H&M, and it fits perfectly. But this is the first time I came out of Primark without a whole bunch of new stuff for DD. The Lady and the Tramp socks, we will share because that was the last package of them, and we each got a pair of the flip flops. Everything else is for MEEEEEEE! That never happens!!

This is such an uplifting story about how your DDs contribute their time to the BOD of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. People like your DDs work quietly behind the scenes, to help others.

We need more stories like this to be shared, as it seems like there is, at times, an imbalance of negativity in the daily news.

A heartwarming story for Sunday. A bit of a backstory first. Jess is Autistic. His family was gifted by friends Multi day Florida park passes. Mom took him several weeks ago and he had such an amazing time that the Mom bought Florida APs. And this weeks story of Jess and what makes Disney so easy to love.

That's so great!! Are these friends of yours? We had moments at DLP where we had to take DS back to the resort, or once, we took him to this big counter service restaurant that looks like a movie theater, and I sat with him for a couple of hours while DH went on a bunch of rides the rest of us don't like. DS needs his down time. Now at least I know to go to the baby care centers, where it's quiet and he can sit. But I can understand how the mom was so scared when her son wasn't responding normally. Poor kid!!

I feel like @figmentfan423 today. Made Naan bread, quinoa and broccoli, roasted purple sweet potatoes, black bean burgers, falafel loaf, cucumber salad, and tzatziki sauce. Hope it lasts for 3 days at least.
{{HUGS}} Today I'm making a pot of marinara, 2 mealtless meatball loaves ,a couple of pounds of pasta, fried eggplant, sautéed broccoli, chopping a salad and baking tofu to go in tomorrow's dinner.
